This article is kind of heteronormative. How about suggesting golfing or water activities or something at Wide World of Sports?

Maybe heteronormative isn't the right word - narrow minded in terms of gender stereotypes?

Get over yourself "V". If you don't want to take part in any if the suggestions listed just go do your own thing. Most women would at least choose one of the above, but they don't have to. I'm an equestrian and certainly not prissy at all but a private cabana sounds like fun! Everyone knows what the Disney parks have to offer. Our group is doing every park and ride we can fit in our agenda! STOP the concern about being Politically Correct and move on!

V,

As the author of this post, all I can say is that these are the things that I like to do with my "Girls," and so they are the ones that I wrote about. On the girls weekend when the lead picture above was taken, my "Princess Party Crew" also ran a 5K. By saying that these activities would make for a good girls weekend, in no way diminishes anything else that could be done.

If you would like to write an article about the many other options available, there is a list of standards and guidelines posted in our member forum. I welcome submissions that meet the criteria.

Cheers!

~Kristen

Susan - you sound like an absolutely delightful person. I hope you are raising children so your antiquated views can be spread to the future generations. I'm not going to even bother trying to explain why I'm right because I doubt you have the capacity to understand it.

Kristen - I'll decline your thoughtful and appreciated offer. I just wish that there had been some further thought put in to the article. Best of luck in the future!
