Drinks At Yak & Yeti Bar In Disney's Animal Kingdom

The Yak & Yeti bar feels like a secret hole-in-the-wall where you can dip in to wet your whistle. With just a few bar chairs pulled right up to the full-service bar this an incredibly small part of this sprawling restaurant, is not a spot to gather with a crowd. However, if you are traveling solo, or as a couple, it provides a quaint spot for a drink.

Nepalese-style decor graces the interior of the space. Colorful plaster painted walls show off intricate gilded treasures in an atmosphere more gritty than elegant. In this imagineered village of Anandapur, somewhere off the beaten path in Southeast Asia, the Yak & Yeti complex has draw locals and world travelers to take respite from their long adventures.

Full service is available at the bar on a first come basis, but seating is limited with only 6 chairs. As far as bar chairs go these are pretty plush with their wide seats, high backs, and satin upholstery.

Yak & Yeti's Bar is a place that you can step away from the standard Disney Bar Menu and find something special. Unique alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages have names like the Everest Refresher, Rickshaw Rickie, and Pink Himalayan. Menu items include cocktails, chilled sake, Asian beers, wine and an assortment of hot teas. My daughter and I were totally up for the challenge of testing out the Yak & Yeti beverage offerings.

The Kiwi Kimono is bright green with a big fruity flavor that's just a bit tart. The cocktails is acombination of Don Q Coconut Rum, Vodka, Midori Melon Liqueur, Fresh Kiwi, and Sweet and Sour. This drink on the rocks reminded us a bit of the frozen Night Blossom over in Pandora.

If you want to step away from the super sweet drinks (I reached sweet cocktail limit on this trip) but still want something a little on the fruity side give the Pink Himalayan a try. Tanqueray Gin, Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice, Passion Fruit and Lemon Grass Flavors combine to make a smooth and refreshing beverage. It's served with a plain salt rim that doesn't really add anything to the drink other than a cute reference to Himalayan salt. I loved this cocktail, and see myself going back just to get it in the future.

The Yak Attack has long been one of my favorite frozen cocktails at Animal Kingdom. The mix of Mango Daquri, Bacargi Light Rum, and Wildberry syrup is a delicious combination that can be purchased at the bar, in the restaurant, or down at the Yak & Yeti Quality Beverages window. It's a fan favorite that is worth coming back for again and again.

If you're looking for a full meal of delicious Asian inspired foods rather than just drinks, you can even order from the full Yak & Yeti Restaurant menu from the bar.
So even if you don't have a table reservation, consider stopping in! Also, be sure to check out our review of the Yak & Yeti Restaurant.

We love sneaking in to this little hideaway for a quick drink on a hot day. It has about 5 seats, go in the door and it’s directly on the right.
