Soarin’ Around the World Coming to Epcot in 2016
One of the most popular attractions at Epcot is getting an upgrade. Soarin' is set to become Soarin' Around the World sometime in 2016. The high-flying trip over California will be no more as guests will now get to "travel" around the world without needing a passport.
Soarin' will be updated in 2016 to Soarin' Around the World
Soarin' Around the World will take guests to far-off lands and will fly over unique natural landscape and man-made wonders. There's no official word yet on what locations the all-new Soarin' will visit but the video below shows the Great Wall of China and other locations.
The new Soarin' Around the World is using the same technology that is being used in Soaring Over the Horizon at Shanghai Disney Resort.

There's no official word yet as to when Soarin' Around the World will open at Epcot. The updated attraction will also debut at Disney California Adventure in Disneyland Resort next year.

I'm excited about the update, but also sad that they may be getting rid of the California version entirely. Ideally they would just expand rather than replace giving guests the option of which Soarin' experience they want.

I'm really looking forward to the new movie. I'm love the old one, but I think that the world version is going to be even more spectacular.

I hope that the California version is kept as a version and that you can choose to go to the California version or the World version.
