Been to Any Good Concerts Lately?

Been to Any Good Concerts Lately?

DH and I took DD6 to her very first concert last weekend - Keith Urban! Wow, was it a good show, and the Jacksonville Memorial Stadium was an awesome venue - not too big, not too small. It's the beginning of the tour - the 2nd show - so there were a few fun kinks that made them human (like Keith saying at one point, "Um, I need a guitar."), but the guys were really energetic, and if you're a Keith Urban fan, I highly recommend seeing him. DD absolutely loves Keith, so she was starstruck. He came out into the crowd, so we were able to get even closer than our floor seats, which was a treat.

Anyone else going to a fun concert this summer? I love to hear about people's experiences.

The last concert we went to was Bon Jovi at the beginning of May. It was good other then the over makeuped, under dressed, drunk screaming middle aged women but that's to be expected I guess. LOL. We have Big Time Rush coming up at the beginning of August with the kids so I'm sure that will be full of underdressed tweens screaming their head off...we just can't win I guess. Me and hubby are kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to concerts....there are some rock bands that we like but we hate going to the concerts because they are full of drunk idiots. We also go to alot of christian rock concerts cause we like alot of those bands....but as of lately we have been the older population there...lol

Yeah... Foo Fighters are coming, and I keep going back and forth on if I want to go to it or not. Those type of crowds just annoy me to death.

I'm going to see Huey Lewis & The News on Saturday. I hope the rain holds off. It's an outdoor concert.

Lizzy - I saw Keith Urban a few years ago for my birthday and I agree, he puts on a truly amazing show.

I haven't been to a concert in WAY to long..

We saw the Trans-Siberian Orchestra earlier this year at their first (and so far only) UK performance. They brought all of the stage effects over with them too Smile

Bon Jovi I have seen more times than I can remember over the last 20+ years. They always put on a good show. The Foo's are playing in Milton keynes, about 20 miles from us soon, wish I'd got tickets for that one.

I saw take that last week. They were alright but the giant robot they bought with them was stealing the show.

Been to 11 concerts for far this year.

Going to see Janet Jackson on Saturday at the Royal Albert Hall, London. Should be good!

Then later in the year, Dolly, Josh Groban, Cliff Richard, Jack Jones, Glen Campbell, Richard Marx at EPCOT, Englebert, Bryan Adams and ending the year with two concerts from George Michael... Phew!

Some great concerts! We've seen Kenny Chesney three times - also a good show - and Bon Jovi was great, too.

Agreed. I should drive up to see REO, Styx, and Peter Frampton too.

I just got home from the Huey Lewis & The News concert. Awesome concert as always. I have to remember I'm not young anymore. I can tell already I'm going to be sore tomorrow from dancing throughout the whole show.
