Couldbe our last trip together!

Jan is not doing well. The results of her recent petscan showed the cancer back in her lungs. Very fast growing and agressive. Her cough is from that and is getting very painful and not stoppable at this point.
The radiation Dr. who has treated all the other times of her cancer ( five times before this) has said there is nothing else he can do. We see her chemo Dr. tomorrow. He has also treated her five previous times and is not yet sure if any more can be done. Jan would not let me cancle our trip to the World as it will most likely be our last .
Mickey might just have some magic left for us.

Joe, you've proven time and time again that if anyone can create and make the most of the magic, it's you and Jan. I know that this trip will be precious to you the same way the others have been. Yesterday we got some hope. Her Chemo Dr. said he would try Chemo after we get back from Disney.

That's good news. It's always good to have some options. Hopefully she can have enough fun to offset the un-fun of chemo.

When I spoke to a young lady about canceling she told me there would be a 'late canceling penalty' since I was only 2 days out. She then asked me why I was canceling. After I told her about Jan's condition she said how sorry she was for us.
About 10 minutes later she called me back to tell me she was trying to get the penalty removed, which was 1 night room fee. After another 15, or so, minutes she called back to tell me it was done and that a lot of prayers would be coming from the
Disney family.
On a corporate level WDW might be business as usual but on a personal level they are makers of 'The Magic'.

That's sad, but it might be for the best. You probably wouldn't have fun if she wasn't feeling up to it.

Really sorry to read that you can't make this trip. At least the Disney CM managed to work some magic for you on the refund. With any luck Dr. Chemo will ba able to work some magic too.

Joe, I'm sorry to hear you had to cancel the plans. Glad that the chemo doctor has a few more tricks up his sleeve, though!
