FOOD!!! Always an awesome subject! lol

So I was just reading up on some foodie info. I heard that you can order through room service, cake of the day. yay I love cake. rofl. And that when you are at dinner, you can order up a cheese or seafood tray before the meal hits the table a lot of nights that isn't even on the menu. Also, they don't have chocolate covered strawberries on the dessert menu, but you can ask and they can usually get you some. Awesome!!! clapping
Anybody know any other foodie tips that should be shared???

Oh and another thing I read is that Disney lets you bring alcohol on board as long as it's in your carry ons and it is sealed. We have always gotten at least an on board drink of the day every day, but have had to sneak alcohol on board with other ships. Um. No. I didn't REALLY sneak alcohol on board. In a water bottle. I would never do anything like that with coconut rum! EVER! silly

I will say the Disney Cruise staff is AMAZING at accommodating changes to their menu items! DH and I have some dietary restrictions (but no allergies) and I don't think there was a meal where we didn't sub something. If you don't like a sauce on something, ask for another kind! Royal Palace even got us chickpeas from another restaurant's kitchen, lol! Hubby and I were usually too full for the heavy desserts and found out all the restaurants had fresh fruit sorbet off menu.

Just make sure you ask for something if you want it and I think you'll get some great meals!! crossfingers clapping

P.S. Glad you won't have to sneak alcohol onboard for the first time ever since you've obviously never done that before laugh

Have gone on 5 Disney cruises - all wonderful! My sister and I got smart after the first cruise and always packed 1 or 2 bottles of wine in our carryon. It was great to sit and relax on the verandah with a book and a nice glass of wine.....or enjoy a glass while getting ready for dinner! I highly recommend it!

My DW loved ordering a carafe of coffee the night before. It will stay not through the night and she always started her day with coffee on the verandah. I have cruised Disney 3 times and have brought alcohol on each cruise. It's fantastic. Also if you buy alcohol while in a port you can take it back to your room. We went to the rum shop in Nassau and brought back several bottles, same with liquor store in Puerto Rico and St. Thomas. The only time we had to wait for an alcohol purchase was when we bought onboard the ship in the duty free shop. If you happen to be going on a b2b cruise. I suggest buying your duty free bottles on board during the first trip and then you can crack open that bottle of 12 year Crown Royal reserve *yum* awesome
Don't forget to order Mickey bars through room service and if you fill (halfway) a cup with coke and then go to the ice cream window you can make a coke float. FREE biggrin
We're going on cruise numbers 4 & 5 this June and then #6 next June. I love cruising DCL muchlove
