Hey guys,
My apologies if we have covered this, but I have a split stay coming up at AKL and SS. I have received 2 Magic Bands, one for each reservation. What happens here? Is my ticket to the park messed up by this? Do I go to SS after checking out of AKL to get it activated for both room and park?
We have a split stay/same resort too..
We have one night on it (just the room/no parks)
then the next 7 nights reserved under Magic Your Way/Free Dining Plan.
I asked the Reservation lady the same question.
She said I would have to inquire when I got to the resort,
but she thought I would have to check in twice.
She had me on hold to ask her boss,
but they seemed pretty unsure how it was going to work.
She didn't say anything to me about sending a second
set of magic bands to access our room for the first night..
so I am assuming they will either give us the KTTK card
or it will all magically work......
It's going to work the same way as before except with magicbands. You should be issued two sets of bands and you have to check in to both resorts. Park tickets shouldn't be messed up.
We just ran into this on our last trip. We did receive two sets of Magic Bands before we left. When we checked into the Grand Floridian, they activated both sets for the entire trip and we could just use which ever ones we wanted. Neither of us changed to our second set but the first set worked fine for both stays. In fact, they left us a third set in our room one day while we were out. We did not bother to take them down to activate them nor did we check to see if they had already been activated.
I wonder such I am staying at the same resort , if that is why they didn't send the second magic bands...... ?
That seems strange that they would give you another set.....since ou suppose to be able to reuse these.

They are still testing magicbands so I think for now they are issuing one set per hotel stay.
