My Birthday/Fathers Day Surprise.....Waaahhhooooooooo!!!!!!!! We're going to WDW, next week!!!!

Well, I got a great surprise today! We had the family over today for my 50th B-day & fathers day & boy did scrappy pull one over on me. Look what I got after we had dinner.

I am so going to Disney World! stars yeah banana banana

And thank you to all of you on the forum that helped scrappy with this. My words cannot express how happy I am to call you my friends. awesome

Congratulations awesome Finally the cat is out of the Bag, AND I don't have to watch everything I write to make sure I didn't spoil it for you. Believe me I was really worried the sewer problem would put a kink in the plans. Again congrats

Yay Mr.Hub....so glad you were finally let in on the suprise....scrappy told Mase and of course he told me so we were all just waiting patiently for the bomb to drop and were worried to when all the sewer stuff happened. So glad you still get to go and what an awesome wife for putting it all together for you....love that cake...at least I think that's what it is...Happy birthday and fathers day Smile

Hi Everyone,
It has been a very long day but I thought I would share a few pictures of him getting the surprise with you. Mrhub has to go to work at midnight tonight so he is trying to get a little nap in before he goes.
And yes Bella, that is a cake.

I had him go outside with me while the kids brought the cake down and got it ready. When he walked into the kitchen this is what he saw.

Then he had to open the box.

A few close up of the cake

He still did not understand that he was going on a birthday trip. He kept saying we are going in October right? So next he opened the box which contained the spread sheet.

In this picture he had just read the dates on the spread sheet.

I will let him tell you all about it but I have just a few more pictures that I know he does not have.

Here he is making his wish and blowing out the candles with help from our grand daughter. Yep it is her sippy cup.

And a couple shots of the inside of the cake. It was very good!

Thank you all for the happy wishes and yes I am totally psyched about this trip. Wow! Segway tour, Key to the Kingdom Tour, all the new restaurants we never did before & Scrappy requested a Magic Kingdom view room too! So that means the web cam will be up and running too! She got me a new one of those too.

Wow, I'm still in shock! The cake was awesome. Delicious too.

How did I miss this??? Go away for one little concert and you miss all the fun!

Happy Happy Birthday, Mr Hub! And Happy Father's Day, too. Scrappy, what a blessing you are. I'm so glad for you both, and I can't wait to hear all about it! Thanks for sharing it with all of us, too. That cake and the reveal (not to mention the spreadsheet) are adorable!

Keeping the secret was so hard. It was so very hard being excited about the trip but not being able to share that excitement with Mark. And making it even worse was the fact I could not share it with all of you, our Disney loving friends. There were so many times when I just wanted to tell him about it and skip the big reveal. I really almost told him several times when we were going through the sewer issue. It was also very hard when Donald Dork shared her surprise trip for her mother. I was afraid to post anything for fear I would give away Mark's surprise.

A very special thank you goes to Jeff C. I sent him a message asking about how to do a sread sheet. Not only was he willing to help me, he did the entire thing for me! All I did was send him the info. He worked on it over Memorial Day weekend and emailed it to me. Thanks again Jeff! The sread sheet was a big hit at the party. Everyone loved it!

Learning more about the "behind the scenes" just makes it even better. This is just such a nice little community. I count it a privilege to come here and learn from all of you and share in this excitement and these memories. Just can't wait to hear all about it, especially in light of that sewer mess you both just dealt with - very graciously dealt with, I might add.

4 days! Wow. Still trying to get my senses about it. And running around like a mad man. Gota wash the dog, get new camera cards, get all my cameras together, make sure I got all the cables, get sun screen, Wash the car, clean the car, get things done at work, gloat at work because I AM GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!
