Port Orleans French Quarter Garden View

So the room we have here is a "Garden View" room, which is the better view. (I guess the standard view is pretty much of the parking lot) I personally don't find the view to be very important in moderates, since because of the way the windows are set back, you can't see much of the "view" anyway. Do you guys agree? Would you ever pay more for a view at a moderate?

That being said the grounds here are great and I went and took some pictures of the gardens:

Definitely an interesting view... garden looks nice, but definitely not my thing. The water fountain looks pretty cool though

I actually really love the gardens. I just don't find having the "view" of them that important. I have to go downstairs to enjoy them anyway.

Except for AKL Savanna view, I find that the category of the room view means very little, especially in the values and moderates where your room is accessed from the outside. In those cases we always keep the drapes shut because I am very leery of people looking into the room. Of course in the higher end resorts where they have interior hallways we usually keep those drapes open to let in the light.

I agree - not a big deal usually. This will be the first year we decided not to upgrade our room at all and just take whatever we get. WE spend so little time there that we decided we could make better use of that money.

I did request a top floor though, but other than that, I think we are fine with anything.

We always book standard view room. Usually we go more for the preferred room location in a moderate so we don't have to walk as far for drinks at night and the early morning.

We got a "River View" when we stayed last May at POFQ. You're right, you really can't see much, unless you are walk outside your room. It was beautiful but I wouldn't go out of my way to get a room with a view.

I really love a great view, and for me that usually includes water. I'm probably not in the room enough for it to really make sense, but the first thing I do every morning is look out the window. I don't really want to look at parking lot.

Very very pretty! We probably wouldn't pay more for a view, only because we aren't in the room enough!
