Rainforest Cafe

DD and I stopped into Rainforest Cafe at AK yesterday morning to kill a little time. She loved it! We're thinking about heading there (or maybe to the one at DTD) for her birthday. I used to love their China Island Chicken Salad.

Are any of you fans? If so, what do you recommend on the menu?

I haven't been there in years but I do remember when I went I had the Rasta Pasta..I remember because I loved the name and it was pretty good. My baby cousins freaked out over the Volcano desert..they thought it was AMAZING.

I made the mistake of taking my 5 year old niece there once....She's terrified of thunderstorms and I had totally forgotten about the thunder and lightening in the restaurant. Needless to say...she told me she doesn't ever want to go back there. My bad! wink

Been there at least 25 times but only ate there once. Pretty good food.

Yes, we are fans. We usually have breakfast there once each trip. We do like the non breakfast foods too though. Their burgers are good as well as the turkey wrap. Even though the food is pretty much the same, I like Rainforest a tad bit better than TRex.

We've been a couple of times. It's a bit noisy, but the food is good and we love it.

I try to avoid it.

I've eaten at the one in Downtown Disney twice, and both times I was not impressed with the food, unfortunately. There wasn't anything special, and I think people go there mainly for the "atmosphere".

I also try to avoid going to some place that I can find here in Chicago. There's a Rainforest Cafe at Woodfield Mall, barely 15-20 minutes from where I live. So it isn't some place "unique" that I would think of going to.

I'm with ZapperZ, I'm not a fan of the food either. I once ate at T-Rex, oddly enough I thought it was better even though I'm pretty sure its the same company. And that was after having steak & shrimp at Rainforest and just a burger at T-Rex.

...too bad I have an irrational fear of Dinosaurs so I was like a little kid being scared in T-Rex. laugh
