Well....I'll cut to the chase...I proposed!! I figured I'd throw up some awesome photos but not too much (I don't wanna overwhelm you guys). I won't go into too TOO much detail with my trip report..well..unless someone asks me something specific! So feel free to ask questions or comments!
We wound up following touring plans beautifully...but it actually wasn't too strict after the "first two things we gotta ride" lol. We checked into Animal Kingdom Lodge club level on Thurs. July 12th..hung out in the club lounge with snacks and stuff, and the flowers I ordered for her were in the room..and she got all teary-eyed at that..then I proposed and it was total waterworks. She really couldn't be happier. She kept saying the whole night it was the most incredible day of her entire life. It was awesome. Okay...TRIP REPORT TIME!!
Thurs 12th - We decided after dinner at Boma inside AKL to head to MK. We took our ADR early at around 5 instead of 6. So we wound up inside MK at around 6:45..7ish. We figured we'd do a couple rides and get a lay of the land since we haven't been there in at least 10 years! So we grabbed a FP for Buzz and started to walk to HM and maybe Adventureland and stuff when the skies turned DARK...my fiancee decided lets go into the stores on Main St. and try to get inside. Sure enough...DOWNPOUR. A CM in one of the stores gave us a couple of "Just Engaged" buttons. So in another 45min or so it finally let up, and we ran to our FP for Buzz. Then we rode Haunted Mansion, and we realized we had to be up REALLY early for DHS RD so we just headed back to the resort...no Wishes tonight.
Fri 13th - DHS DAY!! We woke up..had breakfast in the club lounge (cereal, coffee, fruit, pastries). We caught a bus really really easily. We wound up riding...TSMM, ToT, RnRC, Star Tours, and just returning for our FP for our 2nd ride on TSMM at 10am. We decided to skip Backlot and Indy. We grabbed lunch early at like 11:30, then rode GMR, and saw Muppets. We went back to AKL by 1pm and then relaxed by the pool the whole day. We got back to DHS for our ADR at Mama Melrose (which was really really good) by 6pm, we grabbed another FP for TSMM before we left earlier on, so we used it for right after dinner for our 3rd ride. And then we shopped a little and then got seated for our 9PM Fantasmic. (Which she LOVED).
Sat 14th - MK DAY!! We woke up in time (running to make the 7:30ish bus). And had our 8am ADR at Crystal Palace for Pooh breakfast. It was really good. They sprinkled Mickey confetti on the table...I guess after seeing our buttons... . We did our touring plan I had all drawn up..to an extent. We were right at the Tomorrowland rope when it opened. We rode Space, grabbed a FP for Buzz, rode Pooh, IASW (after PP was closed), returned for our FP for Buzz, grabbed FP for Splash, rode BTMRR, and rode Splash by Noon. We wound up grabbing some dole whip on our way out, back to AKL. We had lunch at the CS (Mara) inside AKL. And another day by the pool. We got back to MK's boat launches by 5ish..in time for our 6pm ADR at Artist Point at WL. That was her favorite meal. More magic too...free smoked salmon cakes with our bread & butter. We got back to MK by 7:30ish, and decided to ride Jungle Cruise & Pirates, Pirates, & Philharmagic before *trying* to stake out a spot for MSEP and Wishes..we wound up getting a pretty good spot along the walkway between Plaza & Tmrwland...4:00 position to the castle.
Sun 15th - AK DAY!! We decided to save some money and cancel the Sunrise Safari. We had breakfast in the club lounge again and made it in time for RD in AK. We rode EE, and EE with a FP after Dinosaur, and Primeval Whirl, and MJT...andddd...Kilimanjaro by Noon. All you guys are going to kill me but...we didn't do ITTBAB, FoTLK, or Kali. Another pool day! lol...(EE was badass btw). We went over to Kidani for our dinner ADR for Sanaa. Then it began raining REALLY bad. So we just stayed in...had some drinks in the club lounge...
Mon 16th - EPCOT DAY!! We were the first people at the turnstiles after our longest bus wait of 20min at Jambo in AKL. We did Soarin and grabbed a FP, then did SOAT, Mission Space Orange, and Living with the Land. Then WS opened by 11..we did Gran Fiesta Tour & Maelstrom before lunch at Yorkshire in UK. We realized right beside us were incredible seats for illuminations, so we grabbed them after dinner. We ran back to FW to ride Spaceship Earth, waited 45min (def worth it lol) for Character Spot, and grabbed ponchos for the RAIN! We grabbed the boat straight to Italy for our ADR at Tutto Italia, and staked out those seats in UK for illuminations by like 7:30. We got SEATS...away from the smoke...absolutely perfect.
Tues 17th - ...departure day. We got breakfast at Boma by like 7:45am and decided to make this trip the best it could be and headed to....Magic Kingdom! We did BTMRR twice (with FP) and did Splash Mt...anddd Buzz. And we shopped a bit. After grabbing lunch at Cosmic Ray's and riding the People Mover, we left. DME was going to be there by 6:30. So we just checked out and stuff.
