Sea World Pictures

On our few trips to Sea World in Orlando, I took a few pictures (of course). So here is one.

How close were you to that seal? It looks like he's eying you!

We were pretty close to the sea lion. As you can see it is "sitting" on the water's ledge and we were a few feet away on the visitors pier. We had fish and were feeding the sea lions and seals . . so it just might have been eyeing us . . or mad, if I gave the fish to another. laugh

Those are incredible photos, guys! I've never been to sea world -- had NO idea they had this kind of stuff. Well, I knew about Shamu, but didn't know you could get close to the other wildlife.

Glassslipper, wasn't it you who told us about the Dine with Shamu?!? I'd forgotten about it!

He does have kind of a "hey that was my fish" look, doesn't he?

More Shamu picture. Is it a flying fish, or a flying mammal?

This is the "before" picture. The "after" picture involves a huge tidal wave and the first 5 rows getting drenched.

Yes, I was the one who mentioned Dine with Shamu. You can get very close to the animals at seaworld . . you can feed the dolphins, sea lions/seals, and sting rays. (granted it costs extra to actually buy the food), but you can get close to those animals without feeding them as well, they just might not give you as much attention.

I think the only animals that you can't really get close to are the sharks, penguins, and mantees . . .

I could go on and on about how much i love sea world, but it's no disney. When we were there last summer the day at sea world was the only day I truly felt the heat. Disney has enough shaded areas and mist stations that you are hot, but you can keep some degree cool . . i think i stopped every half hour for a drink at sea world.

Have you done the coasters there?

You know, I find that, too. When I'm at other parks (Six Flags, etc.), it feels really hot (and usually kind of dirty). Much more so than when I'm at Disney. They really do a great job with trees and shade coverate. And benches!
