Teppan Edo

So all you wonderful people I need some reviews!!!

as I was doing my daily read of Disney Food Blog I discovered a possible hidden gem of Teppan Edo and now due to mutual consent between mother and me (and a sad ditching of boatwrights eek ) we are now conisdering this as a replacement.

Now I don't think we would like sushi as we like cooked meat way too much! and we have never experienced anything of this kind ever so we have no pre conceptions going into this ADR

So if you don't mind if you have dined here letting me know your opinion is and if its worth a DDP credit

Thanks guys! muchlove

My boyfriend and I love Teppan Edo. We have gone twice now and it was excellent both times. Sushi is a different menu then the the cooked meats. Both times we used the DDP.

Some others think that the local hibachi grill is better if you have a local hibachi grill.

We have gone here the last 3 years and enjoyed ourselves. The chefs put on a cute show and the food is pretty good. Unless you have a party of eight expect to share the grill area with strangers. You can communicate with them or not, you are sharing the show and it's nice to know this your first time. DH does not venture to far from steak and potatoes and has found himself happy after each meal. If you have never been I highly recommend the experience.

we are another family who LOVE Teppan Edo. Where abouts in the uk are you? there are a couple of teppanyeki places here but not many. I know there are 2 in London and 1 in Winchester. might be worth you going and seeing what you think. (we go to the Winchester one a LOT)

It's on our list to try, but my parents tried this in September and they said it was one of their favorite meals! It is one of their favorite restaurants. They don't eat sushi either and they used the DDP. Rave about it! Smile

We've eaten there and loved it. The main attraction is the teppan grill, not sushi, so you don't need to worry about finding raw fish on your plate. When we ate there in the fall of 2012, I got the swordfish (awesome) and hubby got the scallops (he loved them). I don't think you'll regret going there.

Here's a photo of the chef at work.

Relative to our local hibachi offerings, I've found the food on our two trips here to be average, but when it comes to hibachi, average is still pretty awesome!! I love the Disney touches and a lot of the chefs I've had recently at these types of restaurants at home have been kind of phoning it in with the show part of the experience. The chefs we had at Teppan Edo were much better performance-wise that what we've ever had at home. If you've never done hibachi before, I would ABSOLUTELY do this.

I have read a few reviews on trip advisor and that was something I came accross but the reason we are using the DDP is to get experience of different things that we can't try here in the UK and also if I have no idea what to expect I cant be dissapointed?

We are a party of 2 so I'd imagine we will be sharing but this should be fine, I will be sure to mention this is our first time!, I don't usually venture very far from our meat but I'm hoping for a good experience

Robyn we live in the north east of england I don't think they have heard of teppanyeki yet!!!!! plus I'm quite excited at the thought that I have never been to anything like this and probably won't do it again (unless in Disney)

You shouldn't be disappointed. We love it, his parents have gone and loved it. They have a great selection of different seafood, steak and chicken.

Very Good! We avoid it now because there are some great similar style places here and we want to try what we can't get here.
