Don't know about the one in WDW, but there used to be a Shula's in Philadelphia. It was pretty good. I'm going in Sept and we'll be eating at the Yachtsman. If they don't have a porterhouse, I'll probably get a NY strip. (Even if they do have a porterhouse, that's just a NY Strip and Filet Mignon joined by a bone.) I'll let you know how it is.

It's been 7 years since I've been to Disney. We ate at Artist Point, but I can't remember a veal tomahawk chop on the menu. Sounds like it should be a bone-in veal chop. Any meat cooked with the bone in, always tastes better (IMO).

This is my take on what it is: Tomahawk chops" is the name given to a bone-in rib eye steaks. It's so called because once a beefy rib chop has been frenched"cleaned of excess tissue to uncover the bones"it resembles an American Indian tomahawk. Now I don't know if it means the same thing at Disney. So instead of being steak it is veal.

If you want excellent steak, get a ribeye or filet mignon. In most American restaurants, it is the most tender cut. Filet mignon is pricey, but worth it. I don't even buy NY strips anymore - they're tough.

shula's, the yachtsman, the turf club and le cellier all have ny strips. I never had the one at shula's or the yachtsman but have heard they are very good. have had them at le cellier about 7 years ago and was delicious but heard that le cellier has lost a little since, the turf club was also excellent, probably my favorite and actually about $15 cheaper than the rest(just an added bonus). as far as the veal tomahawk chop goes I would assume it is just a giant veal chop which is like a pork chop but obviously veal.

I don't know what the sirloin steak for you is, but it is an entirely different cut of meat from the New York strip here in the states. the turf club has an excellent NY Strip.

We have not been there yet, but we were told Narccoossee is worth the trip for their steaks.
I know not all agree, but my mild mannered DH would push people aside to get into Le Cellier. If a NY strip is done correctly, it can be delicious. We have also had sirloin and fillet there and it was melt in your mouth (0f course the blob of butter on top didn't hurt) laugh
