UK Free Dining Offer Question..

I'm directing this question to all UK residents here as I'm not sure if it's the same offer for USA...The free dining offer started yesterday ( Thursday 23rd ) But you have to book it by July 9th...This year...I'm planning on October 2016 but Virgin Atlantic flights won't be on sale until at least September ...Thomson flights fly into Sandford ...The only company I can see at this moment are Thomas Cook..They start using new upgrade planes next year from Manchester and London...These flights are on can be booked at this moment..I'm sure the free dining offer usually ran to the end of the year, but maybe Disney have changed this..You can't book your entire package with Disney at this moment as they don't have any flights...Am I missing out anything here.?...What do you UK residents do in this situation .?..

I like to book the hotel direct with Disney and flights direct with VA, so I booked WL with FD over a year in advance, then waited till the 11month point and booked flights the day they were released. If you are happy to book a complete package with Virgin Holidays, you could book now and that would include flights (although you wouldn't be able to book seats yet). Just had a quick look at their website and it looks like they are only offering free dining with deluxe resorts or free breakfast with value. Can't see that there are any offers for mods atm. So may depend on which resort you wanted?

Also, although they always give a 'must book by' date for FD, usually this is extended by another couple of months.

They are offering the qsdp with mods Smile

I usually would book the hotel and then wait for flights. And if you book direct with Disney I'm 99% sure there are no charges if you need to change your dates slightly for flights. I can't believe how cheap OKW and SSR are! I was seriously considering booking it forn6 nights for when my parents will be with us but they say you must use the tickets at the same time and we will already have annual passes Sad booo.

Thanks folks...Yep we are looking at WL...Last year we struck it lucky with flights from VA as they had a January sale and our three adult seats in October were PS1,944 from Manchester ...This year for October they are PS2,540.... But I'd hate to book our resort package thro Disney and wait it out until September ...Think I'll go ahead and book my flights with TC from Manchester ...It's PS700 dearer from Glasgow...Thomas Cook are PS1,784. for three adults...These are new upgrade Airbus 330 planes..

I have observed that Disney will offer free dining (on UK bookings) 2 or 3 times for the following year. Normally the final offer is around the Oct/Dec of previous year. However, Disney could change this so there are no guarantees.
We are going Oct 2016, I personally am going to pass on this offer ending July and risk that there will be another offer before the end of 2015. I am expecting to lose the $200 spending as I imagine that is just for very early bookings.

I would say your guesses are spot on. Though remember that the prices will also be cheaper the earlier you book and more expensive as rooms sell out. Only PS50 per person deposit through Disney, worth remembering x

Totally agree..It hasn't really sunk in yet that we are going back to Disney nor the fact that we've booked WL...I thought last year was our final farewell... clapping

Of course, I hadn't thought of that, maybe we will book during this special offer. We can amend a booking without losing the offer I assume? Eg. Adding an extra couple of nights to fit in with flights.
Watchmaker, that sounds like a great deal. awesome

I, being a typical Scotsman, watch my pennies...lol...So when I was looking at last years meals, and what we paid, as we weren't on any dining plan, including our seven table service meals, three which were signature restaurants, and C/S meals for our twelve day trip, I nearly fainted..Yes we got a great deal at WL with 40% off room, but our dining bill was just under two thousand pounds for the three of us..Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't change a thing as the meals were outstanding but the three signature restaurants alone came to almost six hundred pounds...So yes..This years deal with free dining and a $200 gift card ( which my wife has already spent on a new D&B ) and memory maker is a cracker..

Yes you can alter with Disney but a quick call to check might be best to make 100% certain.

Great news WM! What dates you going?!

What a great deal WM! Those meal costs can add up if you have a family who enjoys sig dining for sure! mickey

I always look at the dining plan and decide no for just me - do not think it would work with how I eat and tour.
