Where do you go and what do you do after dark at WDW?

We usually either do EMH or go to bed.

Last trip Caitie and I went back and went swimming a couple of nights -- it was GREAT! So refreshing - it kind of feels like extending the fun...

They're less kid-infested around that time too! biggrin

At the risk of sounding like a frat boy bragging (which believe me I'm not), the worst party induced "illness" I ever had took place during an evening at the pool at the Contemporary when I was a young man.

I learned you don't mix Tall Boy beer cans all afternoon with rum and cokes at dinner then get into a pool where you're floating around and whatever equilibrium you have is shot to heck.

Whew.. the memories make me shudder to this day.

But hey, I was a trooper and was out playing tennis the next morning!

While it's not common, sometimes we do like to go to Raglan Road, which to me is the closest thing we do to "nightlife." biggrin

Whatever we do, its almost always at one of the parks or resorts.

Other than an occasional day trip to Daytona where we eat at Aunt Catfish, I can only remember having dinner DURING an actual WDW trip offsite just one time.

It was over at Kissimmee at something like a Rafferty's. The whole time I was thinking that this is a waste when I could be eating at Disney World!

The dinner trips to downtown Celebration don't count, as that's sort of like being at Disney.

Silly MouseTraveler! Beer before liquor... yuck waiting

I voted for Jellyrolls. I always have so much fun in there, and the owner is a great guy who always remembers his clients. It's a blast.

I am really intrigued with this idea. It keeps slipping my mind but I'm really considering trying this on my next trip.

Highly suggest it. It is really a fun night. Get there early (before 9:00pm) to get a table, otherwise you're standing!

I like all of the options in different moods, but I went with "strolling the boardwalk." I've had lots of nice evenings just kind of bopping about out there. It's not as intense as other night time options and you can usually find some fun stuff to do.

I think that's the key to the Boardwalk: go without too much of a plan and just enjoy the evening as it goes along. If you go there expecting to be "entertained," you'll not enjoy it as much.

I do like the new boardwalk games they've added, though that's not a cost I wish to add to my vacation tab.

Yeah it's definitely not a destination, but you can have a good time if you want to.

I've never gotten into the night life at WDW much because I don't drink. Looks, though, like there's still a lot of fun things to do without the booze.

I think that's really true. Bob over at POR, Jellyrolls, and strolling around the Boardwalk are all fun (even minus alcohol). mickey

We've got a pretty packed itinerary this trip, but if I can manage it we'll look into some of these things.

I don't drink much at all, but I still enjoy some of the "Nightlife" activities. The Adventurer's Club is sorely missed though.

What was the Adventurer's Club?

In Downtown Disney they had a club where they basically did improvisational comedy shows. It had fun decoration and a good set of shows. It was really seen as the only part of Pleasure Island that should have been kept.

There have been tons of rumors as to if and where it was going to return. It would be a great fit at Jungle Trek, but even that park itself has had tons of rumors surrounding it and they change frequently. I have a feeling it will resurface somewhere, but it might not even be in the U.S.

That would be a bummer. Of course that would make me want to travel abroad (even more).

Well you know how Disney fans and rumors are...
