Walt Disney Word offers an amazingly broad range of dining options for families to fuel up at. I find though, that people have pretty varying tastes when it comes to breakfast. While I'm always in the mood for a big, hot, savory breakfast, my traveling companions often light something on the lighter side. And I know plenty of folks who don't eat breakfast at all. No matter what your breakfast preference, here are five of my favorite breakfast spots across the Walt Disney World Resort.
Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort
I find the Character Breakfast at Cape May Cafe to be the best option for adults. The food on the buffet here just has a little bit more flavor than most hotel Character buffets. They also serve up a pretty fine Mimosa. You'll find Minnie Mouse, Donald, and Goofy in beach attire greeting Guests, and the interaction always feel a little more leisurely to me at Cape May. My choice at Cape May is to book at 10:00AM breakfast and stroll over to Epcot afterwards, heading in right through the International Gateway.
Kona Cafe at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
This spot has long been a fan favorite for breakfast due to the legendary Tonga Toast, and Kona Coffee that is they serve up. I promise though, there is a lot more on the menu worth eating, and everyone in my family leaves from here happy. If Tonga Toast is on your "must eat" list but you don't feel like a full on sit down breakfast, head downstairs to Captain Cook's quick service spot for the same.
Trolley Car Cafe at Disney's Hollywood Studios
I'm been a coffee snob for a long time, so I was pretty happy when Disney and Starbucks partnered up. The best thing however, is that the Disney Starbucks locations haven't just stuck to the standard Starbuck pastries, though you can get those too. At each Disney Parks Starbucks you're sure to find a couple specialty items that help put a little magic into your morning. So grab your regular latte (there's comfort in the known) and splurge a bit on a unique Disney Parks pastry.
Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie in Epcot's France
Starbucks isn't the only option for a sweet pastry and rich brew, in fact Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie is the quintessential French patisserie with cases that are brimming over with buttery croissant, sweetly stacked napoleons, fruit tarts, and chewy baguettes. This is the perfect place in Epcot to sit down with your cafe, nibble an extraordinary pastry, and make your plan of attack for the day.
Boma at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
Another unique breakfast buffet, Boma showcases traditional flavors of African cuisine along side more common American fare. I've had some of the best breakfasts of my many Disney trips at Boma, from spit roast corned beef, to the silky pecan praline sauce over my waffles. This is also one of the more reasonably priced buffet breakfasts you'll find on property.

Great options! For Adults, I'd recommend the breakfast buffet at The Wave of American Flavors. The buffet has a nice selection of delicious options, and the breakfast cocktails are fabulous! My personal favorite is their Bloody Mary. If I'm staying in the Epcot resort area, then my special breakfast choice, for logistical reasons, is Minnie's Beach Bash at Cape May Cafe. If I am staying anywhere else, I make my way to The Contemporary and The Wave for a breakfast that will last all day!!!
