Mandy's Grand Adventure

On August 29, my parents and I checked into the Grand Floridian for a night. The day started off a little early so we could get the dogs to the sitter just in time for us to be able to check in. On our way to the hotel, I got the notification that our room was ready but when we got to the hotel, the room number had disappeared. We went ahead to the front desk to check in and we were given room keys, we got to decide which characters we wanted. Once checked in we headed to the room which was right by the quiet pool and a short walk to the Grill. We changed into our swim suits and headed over to the main pool.

I had walked over to the Grill to get us some refillable mugs because we love having them and we weren't planning on leaving the hotel at any point. We were at the pool for a short time until it closed for lightning in the area, so we headed back to the room for a bit. We were trying to decide on when we wanted dinner and we decided to wait until much later for dinner. My mom and I headed over the store to get us some snacks in the mean time. By the time we got back to the room, the pools had reopened. We decided to just chill at the quiet pool until dinner time. I had gotten a frozen strawberry margarita from the bar, it was really good. It was even garnished with a whole strawberry.

We got to the Grill around 6:30 to grab dinner and a spot for fireworks. We had mobile ordered and waited for it to be ready. My dad got a sandwich, my mom a burger, and I think I also had a sandwich as well. We each got a dessert as well. My parents got a cake pop and I got a cupcake. Dinner was very good and around the time we were finishing up, the fireworks cruises were loading up their guests to head out for the show.

The dock area of the Grand didn't get very crowded until right before the fireworks started. We had a lovey time watching the fireworks and some of the cast members had also stopped to watch as well. After the show ended, my mom and i headed back to the quiet pool until right before closing time when we noticed a lot of questionable things in the pool. We got back to the room and got ready for bed but we were having some issues with the charging ports and had maintenance come look at it twice and they were happy that we were not being to mean to them like some VIP guests were to them.

We woke up just in time for check out and made sure to leave a tip. We took our luggage with us to the Grill so we could have breakfast. We put our luggage in the car and hopped on the monorail over to Epcot. My parents were having issues getting in but Guest Relations was able to give them a day pass at no charge. I made sure to get my dad a wheelchair and I headed over to the France pavilion for my preview of Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. It is such a fun little ride and I'm so glad it is added to Epcot. After I got off, I ran into some people I know and we rode it a couple more times. We also had some fun wandering around World Showcase and went on Test Track since it had a short wait until I realized it was almost time to pick up the dogs. I said goodbye to my friends and went off to find my parents so we go get the car.

I loved getting to stay at the Grand Floridian and wish I could afford it for a longer stay. I will add pictures a little bit later.
