Epcot Truly Brought The Flavor Of The Holidays

Sure, there is always a fantastic amount of food during Disney Festivals, but this year feels like there's just a little bit more magic in the fantastic tastes being served up. Since Epcot reopened this summer, guests have had a constant rotation of fabulous festival foods moving through the marketplace booths. This year's holiday selections are simply scrumptious. Check out the Best of the Fest video below to find out what you should be eating!

Santa's Festive Floatilla At Disney's Animal Kingdom

You can feel the heartbeat of the jungle throughout the day at Disney's Animal Kingdom when favorite Disney Characters and Discovery Island Drummers cruise the Discovery River bringing cheer to all. The best part however is a visit from Santa Claus himself. The whole world isn't covered in snow during the winter and I always enjoy seeing the jolly old elf using alternative transportation.

Christmas Tree Stroll In A Whole New Way At Disney Springs

This year you'll have to stroll a little further to see all of the Christmas Trees at Disney Springs. Dotted throughout the shopping, dining, and entertainment center this year's display of extraordinarily decorated trees have been placed to allow plenty of room for viewing. Frankly, I like this idea much better than having them all crowded into one space. Once again guests can pick up a Christmas Tree Stroll map from Guest Services and go on a FREE scavenger hunt! Guests who are able to match all of the trees to their locations on the map will walk away with a prize

Gingerbread Contemporary Resorts

Like many people I was bummed when I heard that there would be no large scale gingerbread displays at the hotels this year. That's why this little surprise at Disney's Contemporary Resort charmed me so very much. Dotted about the main lobby guests will see small gingerbread resort replicas. And... if you're in the mood for a little DIY you can head upstairs where holiday cookie sales are jumping and even buy a kit to build your very own.

Fireworks Return To The Magic Kingdom

It's been quite a while since fireworks have lit up the sky over Disney Parks. In an effort to reduce large crowds gathering in any one area, Disney keep the shows dark as they found their footing when the Parks reopened this summer. I'm happy to say though that there's a little extra sparkle happening at the Magic Kingdom these days. While full nighttime spectaculars aren't happening the way they were previously, the Holiday Castle Projection Show has gotten a pyrotechnic boost from small fireworks and flares.
