Disney's Pop Century Resort is a fan favorite for guests who stay at Walt Disney World's Value Resorts. The bright and colorful decor at this family and budget friendly hotel lets you know from the moment you step off the Magical Express that you're in for some serious fun. In no particular order, here are 5 great reasons to love this hotel!
The Music
Pop Century is full of music around each and every corner. You can shake rattle and roll right down Memory Lane while you listen to favorite tunes from your youth such as 'Don't Be Cruel' by Elvis Presley, 'Respect' by Aretha Franklin, and 'Summer Nights' by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. Memory Lane has a brilliant collection shadow boxes full of art and artifacts from the 20th Century!
Petals Pool Bar
If you'd like to grab a cocktail at Pop Century, make your way to the most grooviest spot on property. Tucked within the Hippy Dippy Pool area, Petals poolside bar offers some really delicious frozen cocktails. My favorite way to cool off at the pool is to grab an inspired Pina CoLAVA. If you don't feel like taking a dip, you can always join in a game of table tennis.
Random Dancing
Well - maybe not quite so random. Each morning at 8 am guests rambling around Classic Hall will hear "The Twist" played over the sound system. Suddenly cast members hit the floor and start to boogie. Join in the fun and twist it up to start the day right. 6:00 pm comes around and and it's time to do "The Hustle" so grab your dancing shoes and be sure to trip the lights fantastic.
Dedicated Bus Service
Unlike the All Star Resorts Disney's Pop Century Resort is a value resort that enjoys dedicated bus service with direct service between the hotel and the Park of your choice! All guests staying on Disney property receive complimentary transportation on Disney's internal transportation systems.
Tie-Dye Cheesecake
It doesn't get much more fun than this. The pastry chef at Pop is baking up some special treats just for you! The King Cupcake is truly amazing with it's Elvis inspired flavor combinations. However my pick has got to be the delicious rich and creamy New York style cheesecake made in a stunning color combination that is the Tie Dye Cheesecake. Go ahead taste Disney's version of a rainbow.

I stayed at Pop back June of '07 when I did my solo vacation. Loved it a lot. Each area has music playing to fit the decade of the building(s) and hearing the '50's was a great way to wake up. One dessert item you missed was the Twinkie Tiramisu. Never had a tiramisu before and been eating it since. :) And if you're in Building 2 any floor above the second you can watch the Epcot fireworks from there & see Spaceship Earth when you leave your room. Will go back there for more fun and magic.

We LOVE the POP CENTURY!! The food @ the food court is great!! Love the tie-dye cheese cake. It's the only place that we have found that sales it!! The rooms are decade appropriate & great for tweens & baby boomers. Very economical. We've stayed there a few of timeshave not been disappointed yet. :)

One more advantage : if you prefer walking to waiting for the next bus, you can hop on the AoA bus and stoll across the bridge to Pop century.
