The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort is a beautiful complex that sits nestled between Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios on the shores of Crescent Lake. If you haven't been by recently, you may want to head on over and check it out since the completion of their $140 Million renovation project. The resort has a stylish new look from lobby to guest room, new amenities, and the very latest in technology.
The new Dolphin Resort lobby, is positively stunning with a contemporary look and fun geometric ceiling. The centerpiece is a grand chandelier stretching 20 feet from the ceiling with nearly 1,000 strands and about 10,000 individual crystals.
The Swan and Dolphin is home to a whopping 17 restaurants and lounges including Shula's Steak House - critic's choice for "Orlando's Best High-End Steak House" and multiple recipient of Wine Spectator's "Award of Excellence."
In addition, the newly redesigned lobby is home to Phins! With seating for 150, guests can relax while indulging in signature offerings such as the resort's very own craft brew Phins & Feathers, wine on tap and plenty of creative cocktails. Sunday mornings, brunch-themed beverages including a variety of bloody marys and plenty of bubbles. Check out this recent review from our friends at the Disney Food Blog.
All 2,267 guest rooms have been transformed drawing inspiration from the resort's water theme and its renowned designer Michael Graves. Hues of white, blue and gray, anchor sleek modern furniture and all new bathrooms featuring iridescent glass tiles. Westin Resorts are known for their Heavenly Beds that are the perfect place to snuggle down in at the end of a long day. And in my opinion, the views from the rooms on higher floors can be pretty dern spectacular.
Guests of the Swan and Dolphin Resort can stop by the Disney Planning Center to enjoy many of the same perks as those Guests stay at the Disney run hotels on property:
