5 Reasons Why We Love the Boardwalk Inn

Step into Disney's BoardWalk Inn and be transported to Atlantic City in the 1940s. This beautiful and iconic Disney resort is located within the Epcot resort area and is a favorite among many Disney visitors.

Here are our 5 reasons why we love the Boardwalk Inn:

Theme I love the atmosphere and theming of the BoardWalk Inn. From the broad hardwood floors to the antique penny games and period antiques you are transported to a bygone era when you visit the Boardwalk Inn.

Plus, the Imagineers bring those details right into your bedroom! We love the special touches like this ceramic Minnie lamp!

The Lobby Carousel We've written about the Boardwalk Inn's Lobby Carousel before!

This restored gem -- that still works! -- brings delight (and a little spookiness at night) to the Boardwalk Inn Lobby.

Paul the Chair Speaking of spooky, another unique addition to the Boardwalk Inn Lobby is Paul, one of a pair of identical chairs that flank the lobby fireplace. This half-human, half-chair piece of furniture has confounded many a Boardwalk Inn guest, including us! How do we know his name is Paul? It's painted on the back of the chair...

Dining There are plenty of great dining options at the Boardwalk. Enjoy delicious Greek food at Kouzzina or grab a just-made-here-beer at Big River Grille and Brewing Works! And remember you are just a short walk from the dining options at Epcot, Hollywood Studios, the Yacht Club Resort, the Beach Club Resort, and Disney's Dolphin and Swan!

Christmas at the Boardwalk Inn The Inn comes alive during the holidays, with heavy garlands weighted down with hundreds of ornaments, huge Christmas trees on the lawn, and a huge gingerbread masterpiece featuring Disney characters in the lobby!

I love the whimsical feel of the whole resort. It really comes alive at night with the jugglers and magicians. My kids love the midway games. Excellent spot to see the fireworks at EPCOT and being so close, you can walk there.
