Anyone in my family would tell you that it is always a good year for a trip to Walt Disney World, but many families these days can't always make an annual trip. If you've been debating when to go next, I've got 10 reasons you should book at trip in 2019.
1. Imagineers have been hard at work creating Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, the first ever ride through attraction dedicated to Mickey Mouse. Breakthrough technology to transform a two-dimensional cartoon into an amazing real-world experience. A new original story and lovable theme song as it takes guests on a journey inside the wacky and unpredictable world of Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway opening fall 2019.
2. At Epcot a new nighttime show will begin with a spark of imagination that quickly grows into an epic spectacle of fireworks, music, lighting, lasers, and choreographed, special effects kites. Debuting in fall 2019 and set to classic Epcot tunes, the limited time show called "Epcot Forever" will be true celebration of this timeless park.
3. Black Spire Outpost is the name of the village guests will travel to in late fall when Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opens at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The village is closely associated with the geological formations that surround it. As the largest settlement on the planet Batuu, Black Spire Outpost is an infamous stop for traders, adventurers, and smugglers traveling around the Outer Rim and Wild Space. Your journey is sure to be out of this world as you take off on a mission on the famous Millennium Falcon, as well as having an epic Star Wars adventure that puts guests in the middle of a climactic battle. It's all coming when the new land opens in late 2019!
4. Disney's Hollywood Studios turns 30 years old in May, but the good times will mark this milestone anniversary all year long. Starting on January 18th the Park will reveal a new 30th anniversary logo. Then over on Pixar Avenue guests can get in touch with their their inner "Supers." Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible and Frozone, will make appearances throughout the day during a party featuring lively music, dancing, interactive games and more Super fun. Guests will meet super-suit designer Edna Mode and see some of her greatest creations. They may also spot signs for the whereabouts of the youngest Incredible " the mischievous and multi-powered Jack-Jack.
5. The Magic Kingdom will celebrate Mickey Mouse's 90th Birthday all year long with Mickey & Minnie's Surprise Celebration! Mickey and Minnie Mouse will put on their party clothes and share in the fun with new entertainment, merchandise and specialty food and beverages all around the Magic Kingdom.
6. Disney Springs continues to welcome even more new tenants in the sprawling shopping, dining, and entertainment complex. In 2019 guests will be treated to the grand opening of more restaurants, such as Jaleo and City Works Eatery & Pour House. Coming in the Summer of 2019, the West Side will have a treat for spots fans with a state-of-the-art space will include interactive games and competitions, immersive experiences, a retail store and restaurant. It's all part of The NBA Experience.
7. Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort opens up 545 gorgeous brand new guest rooms, in a space inspired by the adventurous spirit of great Spanish explorers. Reservations for rooms in the stunning new tower are being taken now for stays beginning in July 2019.
8. Walt Disney World's new gondola transportation system Disney Skyliner will be connecting guests staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort as well as Disney's Riviera Resort to both Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Taking the complimentary bus is nice enough, but Disney Skyliner will offer a fun ride with spectacular views right out of the station.
9. Have you been muddling through a dreaded Disney drought? 2019 is a great year to break the stretch and take in all that's new! Don't forget that recent years have seen additions to Walt Disney World include a massive expansion to Disney Springs, Toy Story Land, Frozen Ever After, and Pandora " The World of Avatar.

2018 will be tough to beat - we went at least once a month since April, except December. But I like a good challenge!
So many new things in the works for 2019 I think we'd be foolish to not renew our placeholder passes.
