Though the beautiful shores of Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon make an inviting location for spending the afternoon on a boat, there's no swimming in the natural waterways of the Walt Disney World Resort. And though Walt Disney had dreamed of having a wave machine send ocean-like surf onto the shores of the Polynesian, the erosion proved to be too much for the man made waterway to handle. So what's a surf loving vacationer looking for some tropical fun to do? Head over to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon!
Water based adventure takes on a whole new wave with Surf School at Typhoon Lagoon. You can learn to surf from the pros on your Disney vacation. Guests are encouraged to make reservation to learn how to cut, carve and "hang 10'' in the 2.75-million-gallon wave pool. If you've always dreamed of catching a wave this is the perfect opportunity to participate in this 2.5-hour program that available on select mornings at the park before it opens.
