Disney’s Boardwalk Inn Resort offers a Taste of Americana

Disney Imagineers are known for their attention to detail, and the theming throughout the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels is no exception. Every nook, every cranny of a resort is meticulously put together in order to transport you to another time and place. You thought your were going on vacation to Florida in 2012? No way, at Disney's Boardwalk Inn Resort you'll be transported through time and space to the iconic days of 1940's where the masses along the eastern seaboard flocked to the shore to visit the attractions of Cape May, Coney Island and Atlantic City.

WelcomeWelcome
Masters of theme, the Imagineers created Disney's Boardwalk Inn as a Deluxe Resort that captures the charm, and imbues it with extreme Americana in a Red, White and Blue color palate highlighted with orange and yellow. With whimsy and elegance this resort offers a love letter to the America that captured the imaginations of the world.

Disney's Boardwalk Inn offers both standard guest rooms and Disney Vacation Club Villas. Guest rooms at the Boardwalk have the feeling of a romantic cottage near the Atlantic shore with cherry-wood furniture and grand views of Resort and white picket fence-enclosed patios. The main pool named "Luna Park" even takes you on a journey offering a wooden "rollercoaster" water slide and Leaping Horse Libations.

Sitting along a boardwalk, which rims Crescent Lake lights twinkle and guests bustle along the wooden planks, packed with amusements. Just like the Boardwalks of old, a stroll along the shore at Disney's will offer you shops to buy souvenirs and trinkets, postcards to send, sweets to tempt yourself with. There are surrey bikes to rent, photo booths to make some memories, caricature artists, and music. It is home to the ESPN Zone

I love the exterior of the buildings. They remind me of photos from Asbury Park that my grandmother has from the 1940s. It's also cool how the pool is named after Luna Park, though that clown looks terrifying!

I am so excited to stay here for the first time in September! I absolutely LOVE the theming...except for the clown slide. That creeps me out a bit ;)

The reason why I decided to not stay there is the creepy clown pool. (shudder)

The clown pool isn't near as creepy as those funky chairs in the lobby. Things of nightmares, those are.

LoL! The carved chairs with the faces on them? I thought I had added a picture of them to the post, guess not. You might be able to see this picture on each side of the fireplace.

I'm looking forward to staying here in the future. The clown does creep me out as well..... but I have to hand it to Disney, they can put you right back in that particular time with all the intricate detail. I can't wait!

I just love the whole feel of the Boardwalk Inn. We always take a stroll through and around. It just feels...sooo....comfortable and relaxing and welcoming!

And I never even noticed those chairs until our 7th trip, in 2010! I really like them.

But I think I would be more creeped out by the Clown Face at the pool! Haha.
