Within the colorful building that houses Animal Kingdom's Yak & Yeti restaurant you'll find one of two full service bars located in Disney's Animal Kingdom. However that's not where we're going to stop today for our featured bar. Today we're headed around to the back of the building, past the Anandupur Local Food Cafes counter service. Back towards the secluded garden near the bubbling fountain, where we'll find the last service window of Quality Beverages.
The stone courtyard around this building is beautiful in a worn and gritty sort of way. You can imagine the locals filling jugs or water and washing clothes in the fountain reminiscent of a community wellspring. The area is dotted with tables, some shaded in colorful umbrellas, some next to towering greenery. Across the path you can watch the Gibbon Monkeys play on their island. At night the area is lit from above with strings of lights that create a romantic atmosphere.
Several selections of beers and wines accompany a very limited menu and a few fun cocktails. In my experience the line is often shorter here than at the food counters, and cocktails come in handy "to go" cups with eco-friendly paper straws.
Anandupur Quality Beverages is one of the places that you'll find one of my favorite Disney Drinks. A sunny, orange colored, Bacardi Light Rum frozen mango daiquiri swirls with wildberry red flavors in a drink, that is deceptively strong. The Yak Attack. This sweet fruity flavors give nary a trace of the alcohol within, and then it hits you like a freight train. Use caution if you're drinking a Yak Attack on an empty stomach, there's plenty delicious food to be found here.
Thanks so much to our friends at Disney Food Blog for exclusive use of their Quality Beverages and courtyard picture. Have you stopped by Quality Beverages for wet your whistle on a hot day in Animal Kingdom? Are you charmed by this rural Asian courtyard design? Have you tried a Yak Attack? This is one of my favorite spots in all of DAK! I love sitting back in the courtyard with a nice Safari ale and relaxing before conquering Everest or wandering through the Maharajah trek.

My husband and I are from PA and visit AK at least once a year. I am embarrassed to say that I have never been in this rustic courtyard. That will change in exactly 8 days! I'd LOVE to try the Yak Attack but your remarks on it's potency kind of scare me! (LOL)
