Wondering where to stop for a cocktail at Disney Hollywood Studios? Why not take a break at High Octane Refreshments next to the Studio Catering Company.
High Octane doesn't really stand out in this area with unique decor or flashy signs, in fact you may not even notice it if you're not looking. Humbly sitting off to the side of the Studios Catering Company this outdoor full service bar is only one of two dedicated to alcohol service in the Park. The bar sports a handful of stools at the counter, but for the most part this is a grab and go spot. There's ample seating in the area and except for the busiest of days you shouldn't have a problem finding a table. It's also a great spot to grab a drink before heading off to wander the Streets of America section of the Park.
Though it's discreet, lines can sometimes be long and the bartenders slow. I think that's so you're more than ready for that margarita by the time it's your turn.
A full bar menu is available here, and includes several unique specialty drinks. In addition a small assortment of beer and wine is available at High Octane Draft Beer (including Yuengling Draft, Samuel Adams Seasonal, Miller Lite, Stella Artois, Bud Light, Blue Moon Belgian White), Assorted Bottled Beers, Select Wines and Sangria. There are also non alcoholic choices such as the Cosmic Coca-Cola and the Blue Raspberry Fanta.
During the holiday season you can often find Christmas themed drinks like the Merry Margarita, a Baileys Coffee, and Cider spiced with rum. During the slow season High Octane Refreshments often doesn't open until after lunch-time.
A special thanks to our friends at the Disney Food Blog who allowed us exclusive use of their images. Have you stopped by High Octane Refreshments and sampled the Stoplight Margarita? Did you enjoy it's unique blend of flavors? Leave me a comment with your thoughts!

My husband and I found this bar when we were at Disney for our Honeymoon. It was a weekday, in the middle of the day, and for the most part, we were the only 2 people sitting at the bar with Randy, the bartender. We had a great time just hanging out drinking Long Island Iced Teas - not our usual choice, but hey, we were on our Honeymoon after all. After we left the bar, we went on the Tower of Terror 8 times in a row...until I started feeling a little queasy from the combination of the LITs and ToT. :) That's one of my most fond memories of our trip b/c it was an unexpected pit stop.

Went there last week during prime operating hours for a beer while waiting for our Sci-Fi Dine in reservations and they weren't open. (?)

KC - SO glad to hear that you have great memories from this spot.
Tightrope and DCSimon - I'm sorry that they weren't open when you were there. When I write a bar piece I try to include exact operating hours, but for this one everything I found while researching was very vague.

Walked by there a dozen times. Never looked at the menu, or realized I could get an adult beverage.. will definitely try it when I'm there in January.

Took full advantage of this place during our Xmas trip last December.
It's just a short stroll to the heart of the "Osborne Lights" show.
Made several trips......enjoyed getting "Lit" while enjoying the lights.

Headed to Disney in October. Do you know if the High Octane will serve their margaritas with half the alcohol or even virgin?

Hi Connie! Unfortunately, this is an article from 4 years ago, and the area of Hollywood Studios that it was in no longer exists.
As far as the alcohol content of the Margaritas at Disney, the frozen Margaritas are made from a mix in a special machine so you can not alter the alcohol content. Many of the bars and lounges over non-alcoholic specialty beverages though.
