Beginning tomorrow, June 2, 2013 tickets to Disney's Florida and California theme parks will have new pricing. For the first time, a one day Park Ticket to the Magic Kingdom (at $95) costs more than a one day Park Ticket to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom (each at $90). That means that one day at the Magic Kingdom ticket is a full $6 more than if was last year. The price increase, though sudden, does not come as that much of a surprise as the last ticket price increase occurred in June of 2012. Ticket price increases are reflected in all categories of Disney Parks tickets.
You can find the full price information for the different ticket pricing on the Magic Your Way: Facts on 2013 Walt Disney World Resort Price page.
In addition to Park ticket prices increasing, Walt Disney World will also be increasing the cost to park your vehicle each day. The cost for a spot in the lot will now be $15 (or $16 camper/trailer) per day.

What is the reasoning behind the increase? I am disappointed. It's becoming more and more expensive to visit Disney... and I don't have children. i can't even imagine people who have children manage to be able to pay for anything. It's a shame that Disney doesn't take a lesson from other theme parks like Busch Gardens or Sea World. But because they are Disney they are able to do this and we will continue to go. It's just unfair!!!

Did the prices for the annual passes go up as well?

As far as I know Kaliopi all ticket prices increased. A regular annual pass is $609 and a premium annual pass is $729. All of the information is at the link given within the story.

I love Disney, but I don't love this seemingly annual increase in park tickets. It looks like The Most Magical Place on Earth is turning into The Most Expensive Place on Earth. For an average working family (with at least two kids in tow) it's going to be difficult on the pocket to afford airfare, park tickets, accommodations, food, etc. Even the onsite "value" and "moderate" resorts aren't as reasonable as they once were -- especially if a preferred room is chosen. I really hope Disney isn't overlooking all of its consumers....who just might seek out inexpensive vacation options. Yet, despite this increase, I do have my sights on a "DISNEY 2015" trip.... so, please pray that the ticket prices don't jump a few times more before then....

JenS....sorry to say they have increased twice I believe since your post. What a shame. I mean...shame on Disney!!!! I understand cost increase but I'm sure they make enough money with the millions of people that visit their parks that they do not have to continue to increase the way they do. I do not see how a family of 4 can afford to pay airfare, park tix, hotel, food, souvenir's, etc for a week.
Disney will of course keep the diehard fans no matter what, but they are going to lose too. Hopefully they will not lose more than what they keep.
The quality is not as it used to be either so as prices go up, quality is going down. Not a good feeling!!!
