Disney+ Reaches 28.6 Million Paid Subscribers

As expected Disney fans have embraced Disney+ and its incredible library of classic movies and shorts, popular series, recent theatrical releases and a growing slate of original content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and National Geographic. Recently The Walt Disney Company announced that Disney+ has amassed 28.6 million paid subscribers.

Disney+ Reaches 28.6 Million Paid Subscribers

The highly anticipated original Marvel Studios series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and WandaVision will premiere on Disney+ in August and December. These additions to the Marvel Universe are expected to bring in even more subscribers waiting for their debut. In addition, the highly popular series The Mandalorian, from Lucasfilm, will return to Disney+ with a new season in October.

Disney+ launched in the U.S., Canada and the Netherlands on November 12, 2019, followed by its debut in Australia, New Zealand and Puerto Rico. Coming this Spring and Summer even more Disney fans in markets around the world will get to experience Disney+ in locations such as: the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria and Switzerland, India, Belgium, the Nordics and Portugal.
