For many years Disney fans, who were also coffee lovers, struggled with what was being served up all across the property. Over the past 5 years Disney has caught up with the coffee culture, and with the addition of both Starbucks and Joffery's Coffee to the corporate partners, guests can now find some delightful brews. While flavored lattes continue to be the rage, there are several resort restaurants serving up phenomenal pressed pots of fresh coffee that showcase the regional flavor of native beans down to the last drop.
Kona Cafe at Disney's Polynesian Resort
The Kona Cafe was one of the first Disney restaurants that stepped up their game with a fabulous cup of joe. Hawaii is the only State in the U.S. that is commercially producing coffee, and the Kona Cafe' offers two different blends of the solid roasts. First, there is the regular 70/30 blend. This roast is kept on drip brew and is what's served when you simple order a cup of coffee. The second however, is a 100% Kona Blend that is only available in a french press pot. The press pot is usually considered to serve 2, and offers coffee drinkers a rich, dark, full bodied cup.
Boma at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
Next into the groove were the restaurants of Animal Kingdom Lodge with an opportunity to showcase beautiful African Coffees, my favorite being the morning brew at BOMA. The full-bodied Kenya AA from Joffery's comes straight from the northern slopes of Mt. Kenya and has bright and fruity flavor with high acidity. That combination makes it the perfect cup of coffee to pair with the deep rich flavors of BOMA's African inspired Buffett. While they offer a steady drip of this lovely roast, for an intriguing spin, order up a pressed pot for a deeper taste of the Flavors of Africa.
Trattoria al Forno at Disney's BoardWalk Inn and Villas
Our friends over at the Disney Food Blog tipped us off to a new and beautiful pressed pot of coffee at the BoardWalk's Trattoria al Forno. This Italian Style Blend that features an aroma of sweet berry and milk chocolate, which turns to a delightful citrus and dark berry flavor in the cup. The decadent brew has a long slightly tart finish. For those coffee lovers who want the most intense coffee experience, the Trattoria also serves up three different styles of gorgeous Italian Espressos.
So go forth my coffee loving friends! Reach out past that syrupy sweet Starbucks latte and explore the flavors of the bean. Dive into the heritage of coffee from around the world, and start your morning off with some of the most exquisite cups of java offered on property. Cheers! All accept the Disney Dining Plan for meals, however the pressed pots are a special a la carte item.
Thanks so much to our friends over at the Disney Food Blog for the use of their images. Do you have a favorite Disney coffee? Leave a comment and let us know where you get your favorite cup.

Cool, hopefully they do this for breakfast - really the only time I drink coffee.

I am SOOO happy with the availability of Joffrey's and Starbucks in the parks and resorts. I am partial to the coffees of the Indo-Pacific regions, like my coffee to taste like coffee, and eschew milk and sugar (and other unspeakable pollutants) in favor of the steamy, pure goodness of a freshly pulled espresso.
So, I have a question. Does anyone happen to know what beans are used at Victoria & Albert's in the vacuum coffee brewers?

Janet - As far as I understand they are Indonesian, but that information was from 2014 so it's possible it has changed.
According to the current menu, the coffee is by "Celebes"
