While costs at Walt Disney World continue to raise, it's always nice to know where you can find the freebies during your trip. For guests visiting the 2019 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival as few special events are still included in the price of admission. Here are our five favorite free things to do at Food & Wine.
Disney Du Jour Dance Party will delight the kids with a "a rotating menu" of Disney Characters including Remy and Emile from Ratatouille. Kids of all ages are welcome to dance and play in this interactive atmosphere. Sundays through Thursdays, a DJ will lead the fun, and on Fridays and Saturdays, Radio Disney stars will perform live!
The Chocolate Experience: From Bean to the Bar is Found in The Land Pavilion, and hosted by Ghirardelli Chocolate Company. Browse displays outlining the history of chocolate and the chocolate making process as well as wonder at the skill and talent of chocolate showpieces from Disney pastry chefs.
Celebrity Chef Meet & Greets, as well as book and bottle signings! Many of the celebrity chefs that host culinary events will also participate in meet-and-greets after their presentations. During past festivals you haven't even needed to attend the event to get access to the meet-and-greet. You can also often find them spending an hour or two at the Festival Center signing their latest cook books.
The Epcot Food and Wine Festival Marketplace Discovery Passport is everyone's favorite free souvenir! Pick up your passport from the Festival Welcome Center and keep track of your progress Around the World. The handy passport is a greta place to record what you tried, along with flavor notes and your thoughts regarding each dish you purchase. Once you tick off a country move the sticker "stamp" before journeying on.
The Eat to the Beat Concert Series is included with your theme park admission! Each night during the festival, you can catch performances by popular groups from decades past. So sip, stroll and bop your way to the America Gardens Theater with shows at 5:45, 7:00, and 8:15pm every night. Check out the full concert schedule HERE!
It does seem like each year this list gets smaller and smaller, but even if the festival isn't free there are plenty of low-cost additions to your experience that won't break the bank. Check out what our friends over at the Disney Food Blog have to say about the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Low-Cost/Free Events, Seminars, and Demonstrations.
