If you're looking for a spot to grab a quick bite to eat during your visit in Fantasyland we recommend stopping at Gaston's Tavern. Since its opening a couple of year ago this quick service spot has quickly become one of our favorite places to rest our feet and grab a bite to eat.
Gaston's Tavern is located in Belle's village in Fantasyland. In front of the tavern you'll find a fountain featuring none other than Gaston himself, of course. It's always fun to take a photo at the fountain, giving your best Gaston pose.
There are also a few umbrella tables and if they're available they make a great spot to sit for a few minutes as you admire Beast's Castle off in the distance. Next door to the tavern is a quaint gift shop where you'll find a variety of Beauty and the Beast merchandise.
When it's time to grab some food, the ordering counter is located just inside the doors of the tavern. That area tends to get a bit crowded on busy days but the service is rather quick.
If you miss the giant cinnamon rolls from the Main Street Bakery you'll find a pretty good replacement here. It's enough for at two people (if you feel like sharing) and it makes a great quick breakfast or a mid-day snack. You'll find that the cinnamon roll has a light maple flavor, but it'll hit the spot if you're craving something sweet.
Other menu items include a chocolate croissant, a mixed fruit cup, apple slices with caramel sauce, hummus and chips, and the roasted pork shank. The pork shank is big but we've found it's not as huge as the famous turkey legs. And while the pork shank is by no means "good for you" it is good if you're a fan of roasted pork. Also, unlike most of the other items on the menu, the pork shank cannot be purchased with a Disney Dining Plan snack credit.
Another popular item on the menu is LeFou's Brew. This icy cold beverage is frozen apple juice with a hint of roasted marshmallow that's topped with passion fruit mango foam. You can order LeFou's Brew in a souvenir stein for $9.99 or in a regular cup for $4.49. If you aren't a fan of the drink but still want the mug you can purchase a mug in the gift shop next door.
While it might not look like it from the outside, there are several seating areas inside Gaston's Tavern. If you head to the left after you order your food you'll find a cozy room full of wood tables and stools. The decor includes a dart board where Gaston and LeFou have a game in progress.
As much as we love the dart board room, we're particularly fond of the other seating area in the tavern. Head to the right of the ordering counter and you'll find the main dining area. Here you'll find Gaston's portrait, wooden tables and stools, a fireplace, and Gaston's giant chair. And yes, you can sit in the chair! There's also another smaller seating area in the corner.
Gaston's Tavern is a great place to find a quick breakfast at the Magic Kingdom and it's also a fun place to stop during the day for a snack or an ice-cold LeFou's Brew. The Disney Dining Plan is accepted at Gaston's Tavern (except for the pork shank as we mentioned above).
What's your favorite item on the menu at Gaston's Tavern? We'd love to hear your thoughts!
Many thanks to the Disney Food Blog for use of their photos.

I love the decor in here, it's really fun! We've got this on our schedule for February for cinnamon rolls.
