We tasted several of the dishes at this outdoor kitchen, and each of us had a different favorite from the bunch. Overall the food at Urban Farm Eats is really solid and has something just about everyone can enjoy. While the flavors may not have been unexpected in this food, they were spot on and comforting.
My favorite dish was the Seared Pork Tenderloin with Mushroom Ragout, the traditional combination was straightforward and delicious, it would fit well right into the meal plans for any Sunday Super.
I liked the Watermelon Salad with Arugula, Feta and Balsamic Reduction, however I thought that it could have used more watermelon and feta, less arugula. It was pretty good, but didn't knock my socks off.
A surprise to everyone was the Crabless Cake with Crispy Vegetable Slaw that knocked it out of the Park. Replacing the crab in this fresh, crispy cake is tofu " but don't let that scare you because the flavor is fantastic, and for guests who don't eat seafood Disney crated a pretty fantastic version of a classic.
A few months ago we covered Absinth at the AbracadaBAR and fans of legendary drink responded with glee. Urban Farm Eats proves once again that the green fairy absolutely has a place in the World of Disney.
While we don't have the exact brand and combination for the Urban Fairy Cocktail, we can tell you that it's a refreshing well-balanced drink, featuring a soft floral absinth, cucumber, and lime flavors. It was a surprising favorite amongst my tasting crew, some who didn't think they would enjoy an absinth based drink. For a remarkable drink that may be one of the best of the fest, give the Urban Fairy Cocktail a try.
If you're headed to the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival this year, make sure you stop by the Urban Farm Eats Outdoor Kitchen for some of the best festival food of the year.
