The Galloway plans never really did it for me; call me stubborn or something, but I wanted to run the whole thing. :) I had great success using the RunKeeper training plans delivered through the companion iPhone (and Android) app. My wife has used the Hal Higdon training plans for 1 marathon and a pair of Goofys.
Best of luck to everyone starting to train for a RunDisney event. I'm normally not much for running in a paved, straight line but they're extremely special.

My DH, DD, and her BF ran the 5k this January. It was a big deal for this converted couch potato...and so much fun! I'd lost over 100 lbs and thought it a fitting way to celebrate

That's fantastic Ilene! I think every mile is fabulous and a 5K is just as much of an accomplishment as a half for many people these days. Like me! I would have never gotten off the couch if there hadn't of been Disney 5Ks to motivate me.
