It isn't hard for Walt Disney World guests to find a delicious breakfast at dozens of wonderful table service establishments across the property. However, finding a counter service breakfast with a little more pep can be tricky. The following breakfast options have a bit more personality than the standard breakfast platter and are sure to get you going for your busy day ahead, all for under $10.
Sleepy Hollow Refreshments - Magic Kingdom
One of my most favorite Disney breakfasts is the Egg and Cheese Omelet Waffle Sandwich available at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in the Magic Kingdom. There's something wonderful about starting your day early in the MK. Order up this delicious warm ham, cheese, egg and tomato on a freshly made golden waffle, and then take a seat by the Castle moat and watch the people stroll by. After you've finished, you'll find that you're already in the heart of magic.
Sunshine Seasons - Epcot
The Land Pavilion has long been the first stop of the morning for my family on an Epcot day. Snugged down in the heart of it all, Sunshine Seasons is the perfect counter service stop for a hearty power-up before tackling the Park. Just about everyone in the family will be able to find something to eat to get them moving. I suggest trying a unique twist to an old favorite, Cinnamon French Toast Bread Pudding and Bacon. Mmmm... lots of bacon! The dense slice of bread pudding, has a sweet crispy top and is dusted with powdered sugar.
Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery - Disney's Animal Kingdom
It won't surprise many that Animal Kingdom is the place to find unique foods with world flavors. The Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery is a wonderful place to stop in for a great counter service breakfast. For a generous meal, give the Hot Breakfast Wrap a go. Fluffy Scrambled Eggs are joined by sausage, spinach, and goat cheese, then wrapped inside a warm tortilla. Another good option available here is the Colossal Cinnamon Roll - it's big enough for two.
Trolley Car Cafe - Disney's Hollywood Studios
Sadly, it can be hard to find a quick breakfast in this Park. As you stroll down the boulevard in the morning, be sure to stop in at the Trolley Car Cafe. Here's you'll find the standard line-up of Starbucks offerings, as well as some fabulous Disney themed pastries to brighten your day. For something sweet but light, try the fresh fruit tart with delicate whipped cream and a buttery crust. The best part of this stop though is that you can get any of the hand-crafted Starbucks beverages for just 1 snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan.
Captain Cook's - Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
One of Disney's most iconic breakfasts is the fan favorite from the Polynesian Village Resort's Tonga Toast. Most people head to the table service Kona Cafe to get their fix, but I've got a secret to share, you can get the same amazing Banana-stuffed Sourdough Bread, Battered and Deep-fried, and dusted with Cinnamon Sugar downstairs at Captain Cook's.
