Disney fans are looking forward to the reopening of Disney Springs beginning on May 20th, 2020 with many of the third-party operating participants. Then on May 27, three of the Disney-owned and -operated stores and venues will reopen. Safety and well-being for all is chief in the minds of The Walt Disney Company, so as this is exciting news there are some very important new procedures for cast members and guests that you should know about.
Health and Safety Policies For The Reopening of Disney Springs
Disney has been working hand in hand with regional health and government authorities as they learn more about the best methods of combating the pandemic spread. The guidelines below represent the current best practices, but as new ideas develop operational changes and safety measures may change too. Here is what you need to know.
- Parking and Entrances: Parking will be limited to the Orange and Lime Garages. Pedestrian entrance will be restricted to the Hotel Plaza Boulevard pedestrian bridge and ride share location.
- Appropriate Face Coverings: All guests 3 years of age and older, along with cast members and third-party operating-participant employees, will be required to wear an appropriate face covering while visiting Disney Springs at all times, except when sitting at a dining table. Please plan ahead and bring your own.
- Temperature Screenings: Once you arrive at Disney Springs, you and your party will be required to undergo temperature screenings. Those who measure 100.4 degrees or higher and their party will be denied entry to Disney Springs.
- Physical Distancing and Capacity Measures: The number of guests allowed entrance to the property, as well as within each location, will be limited. In addition, ground markings and physical barriers will help promote proper distancing.
- Cleanliness: Increased cleaning and disinfection procedures in high-traffic areas are in place for the reopening. Hand-washing stations and hand sanitizer will be deployed and available for use.
- Cashless Transactions: Please plan on paying by using debit cards, credit cards, Disney gift cards, etc. for your purchases.
