There are still a couple more amazing weeks to visit the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. This annual fan favorite event is full of amazing tastes and sips to excite your palette and enhance your vacation. Many people are familiar with the extravagant dinners and parties that sell tickets for more than $100 a head, but that's just not within every budget. For wine lovers looking to get a little more educated and taste some new vintages, the festival center offers low cost wine seminars taking place throughout the festival.
For just about $15 per person, you can take a 45 minute multimedia seminar where you'll get to sip some beautiful wines. As you sample, a beverage expert will offer you helpful tips and techniques to include the wines being presented at your tasting into your own home dining and entertaining. As well as introducing you to their vineyards and production methods. Most wine tastings consist of an assortment of three wines offered by a single winery or family of wineries. Water and crackers are also provided to clear the palette between tastings.
My husband and I love to discover all that we can about wine production and I can honestly say taking one of these low cost seminars last year opened my eyes to new methods of viticulture that I had never heard of before. It was well worth our time and cost to experience the three wines presented to us, while listening to the passionate vintner discuss his family legacy of great sustainable wines.
If that's still a little more than you want to spend sampling new wines, this year there's something new. The Festival Center will be holding small tastings at the wine shop for guests considering purchasing wines that are featured at the Marketplace Booths. These small tastings will take place daily at 1, 3, and 5PM.
To delve deeper into the process of wine making, you can catch a viewing of 'Seasons of the Vine', a 7 minutes film narrated by Jeremy Irons that takes you on an exploration of wine production. The film will run continuous shows at the Festival Center throughout the day.

I attended a wine seminar last year and really enjoyed it. I love learning about the history of the winery and the process. This year, I'm attending "The Great Whiskey Debate" seminar.

I did the cocktail seminar last week & learned about some new ingredients & recipes I'm eager to recreate at home. Very nice break from the heat & thunderstorms.
