For the second year in a row I headed to the Hollywood & Vine Restaurant at Disney's Hollywood Studios to enjoy a festive meal with some of my favorite Disney Characters. This year's seasonal dine was much different than when I went last year so I thought I'd run it down for you.
The Glam Minnie Mouse In Red
Characters
Last year the characters included Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy who walked the room and posed for pictures.
The Delightful Daisy Duck
Donald Looking Dapper
Santa Goofy was available for pictures at the end of the meal.
Santa Goofy Poses For Pictures
This year's characters included Santa Goofy, reindeer Pluto and of course, the first couple Mickey and Minnie.

Reindeer Pluto
The Main Mouse Himself
The area where Santa Goofy posed last year was available for guests to take selfies.

Food
Last year was a buffet. The food was good and fresh.

This year the meal was off the menu. The salad and bread was served family style. Each person in the party selected an entree and dessert. I chose the turkey dinner and banana cream pie. Let's face it, turkey is pretty standard. It's the sides that make the meal stand out and they most certainly did. The meal came with garlic mashed potatoes. I was able to substitute the sour cream whipped potatoes. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be a toss up between the stuffing and the cranberries. The banana cream pie was so creamy and had a really good flavor.

Hollywood & Vine doesn't get a lot of love. I've eaten there a few times over the years and have no complaints.
Hollywood & Vine is one of the few character dining options open during this COVID world we are in. Even though I couldn't get my picture taken with the characters, I'm glad for the opportunity to see them.
The next special event scheduled for Hollywood & Vine will be the Silver Screen Dine in January through March.
