Pineapple Reigns Supreme at Walt Disney World

Are you looking for a tropical summer treat to enjoy while touring the Parks at Walt Disney World? While fruits in general can be a major attraction, there's one that sits as the pinnacle of hospitality. The pineapple is a true celebrity and it's use in recipes across Disney's culinary panorama show off it's sweet diversity. We love pineapple! and thought we'd share some of our favorite sweet, tangy treats with you.

The number one Disney pineapple delight is the classic snack favorite, a cult classic even, the famous Dole Whip from Aloha Isle! This creamy soft serve treat can be serves by it's self, swirled with vanilla, or as a float with a variety of drinks! For years Disney fans have been clamoring for their Dole Whips and there's no sign of it slowing down.

Over at Disney's Animal Kingdom guests love to indulge in the decedent dessert, Pineapple Cream Cheese Wontons from Yak & Yeti. This yummy dessert made the DFB "Best Thing I Ever Ate at Disney" Desserts Edition and features skewers of fresh pineapple and cream cheese wontons, vanilla ice cream, honey vanilla drizzle. It's absolutely delicious and a "must do" whenever I'm eating at Yak & Yeti.

Finally, I don't think that any trip to Disney's Polynesian Resort would be the same to me without a drink in a pineapple! The Lapu Lapu is a strong combination of light and dark rums mixed with fruit juices and served up inside a juicy pineapple of your very own. You can order your Lapu Lapu at the Polynesian's Tambu Tambu Lounge and enjoy it in the lush lobby or head down to the beach!

These three fabulous pineapple dishes aren't the only ones though. Runners up include fresh pineapple spears & Nestle delicias pineapple (frozen fruit bar) from vending carts around the parks, chocolate covered pineapple spears form the Main Street Confectionary, pineapple bread from Ohana, and the pineapple Bacon Burger from Paradiso 37! There are so many wonderful pineapple treats it was hard to narrow down the list.

Do you love pineapple? What's you're favorite spot to enjoy this sweet tropical treat at Walt Disney World? Leave a comment and let me know!

Dole Whip is a must do while I'm at the World. Last year I made an ADR at Yak & Yeti just for the pineapple cream cheese wontons.

I haven't tried the Lapu Lapu yet but it's the list of things to try.
