Sand and Sea lend inspiration in the newly designed rooms at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Bright and airy spaces with all-new furnishings and fixtures combine with fun Disney touches we all expect. The new color palette was inspired by the Pacific Ocean and its many islands, including details, patterns and textures from the hit Walt Disney Animation Studios film "Moana."
In the bathrooms, beautiful tiles and carved details in the vanity bring to mind the sandy ocean floor. Throughout the space colorful patterns bring a light new energy to the space, evoking undulating ocean waves and tropical flowers. Overall the design is beautiful and mature while still enchanting to Disney fans of all ages.
Inside the tropical rooms isn't the only place guests will find change at the Polynesian. The Great Ceremonial House porte cochere is in the midst of a dramatic overhaul as well. The new design will "feature a high-pitched, open-truss roof covered in a thatch style with pops of color, the Monorail station will receiving new wooden screens with tropical colors of the South Seas.
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resorts and I can't wait to return! The resort is currently accepting bookings for late July 2021 which makes now the perfect time to start planning your late summer Disney trip.
