With reduced Fall Park Hours families may need to find something new to do after dark on their next Walt Disney World Vacation. After playing all day through the Disney Parks some quieter nights may be in store. I've pulled together a list of some of my favorite relaxing ways to spend a Disney evening.
Hit The Pool: September at Walt Disney World is hot, hot, hot, and after a long day on your feet a relaxing dip in your resort pool may be just the ticket. Not only will the cool water feel great, but soaking for 10-15 or more minutes will help to reduce any swelling. Plus, the leisure pools currently have extended hours.
Take A Stroll: Nighttime is beautiful at the Disney Resorts so why not take a stroll and explore. Some Disney Resort Hotels offer self guided nature trails, hidden mickey hunts, and jogging paths. You may even discover some wonderfully themed nooks and crannies that were built into the locations. If you look hard enough you might even discover and empty hammock or rocking chair just waiting for you.
Resort Hop: Be adventurous and book dinner at a Resort Hotel that isn't your own. Evenings are the perfect opportunity to check out where you may want to stay next before you book.
Disney Springs: Shopping and Dining are always on at Disney Springs. When hours are short, don't waste your park time looking for souvenirs instead hop on the bis to Disney Springs and find a gift for everyone.
Family Game Night: A pack of cards, some reading material, and a few coloring books don't take up too much room in a suitcase. Be sure to travel prepared and you'll head off hotel room boredom with a few leisurely activities for a quiet night in.
Movies on Disney+: Disney Resort TV has always been a great way to stay entertained while staying in. Now that Disney+ is a thing your entertainment selections are even greater!
*Top Tip* Choose The Best Room: Are you booked in a Villa, Suite or Family Room? If the grown-ups in your party would appreciate their own space it might not be a bad idea to splurge. Rooms that offer more than one living and sleeping area can be appreciated even more when the Parks close early. The kids can enjoy their own space and TV, while the adults have enough space to stretch out and relax on their own.
DIY Spa Night: You know those bath bombs and beauty bars you picked up at Disney Springs? Well - put them to use!
Park hours may be short this Fall, but that doesn't mean you won't have a fantastic time at Walt Disney World. After all, vacations are for relaxing! How do you spend Disney nights when the Parks are closed? Leave a comment below and share your thoughts.
