Have you ever wanted to go behind the scenes at The Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion? Want to learn how Disney maintains their 5.7 million gallon saltwater tank? Do you want to swim with over 6,000 animals? What about getting up close to a dolphin?
Disney offers three different experiences to allow you access behind the scenes at The Seas and experience the different animals up close.
Get up close to Disney's Dolphins
Dolphins in Depth is a 3 hour experience where guests are allowed behind the scenes to learn about and get up close to Disney's dolphins. During the tour at The Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion guests talk with the trainers and researchers who work with the dolphins every day. The tour ends with an opportunity to get up close to and interact with a dolphin (guests are allowed in the water for this part!)
The Dolphins in Depth tour costs $194 per guest and all guests must be at least 13 years old.
SCUBA at Disney
Epcot DiveQuest offers guests who are SCUBA certified the opportunity to dive in their 5.7 million gallon saltwater tank. Swim with over 6,000 different creatures in Disney's tank including sea turtles, angelfish, rays, and sharks.
The underwater portion of this experience allows guests to spend 40 minutes in the water exploring Disney's tank and the creatures it houses. Guests will also be shown the massive infrastructure that is required to filter and maintain Disney's manmade ocean.
Epcot DiveQuest lasts approximately 3 hours and costs $175 per guest. Guests must be at least 10 years old to participate. All diving equipment is provided by Disney.
Snorkel at The Seas Pavilion
For those guests not SCUBA certified Disney offers the Seas Aqua Tour. Like the Epcot DiveQuest, the Seas Aqua Tour allows guests to swim in Disney's saltwater tank as well as learn about the infrastructure that filters and maintains Disney's manmade ocean.
During the Seas Aqua Tour guests are allowed 30 minutes to swim along the surface in the tank and explore the different types of sea life that are present. The supplied-air snorkel system does not allow guests to dive below the surface.
The Seas Aqua Tour is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours long and costs $140 per guest. In order to participate guests must be at least 8 years old. All equipment is provided by Disney.
Booking
Tours can be booked by calling 1-407-WDW-Tour or online on the Disney website. Be sure to ask about discounts for DVC owners, cast members, Disney Visa cardholders, annual passholders, and AAA members.
