If you are planning on being in Walt Disney World over Mother's Day, don't forget to treat Mom to something special while you're touring. There are lots of ways that you can show her how much she means while still enjoying a fun family vacation.
Start by letting Mom pick the Park for the day so that she can have fun doing her favorite rides and attractions. No matter which one is her favorite be sure to create a touring plan that hits her must do attractions. While you're at it, you know Mom loves to have pictures! But let's be honest - she's frequently not in them because she's the one behind the camera. Treat her to a family photograph by handing off your camera to a Disney PhotoPass photographer or Cast Member. This way she'll have a reminder that she was part of that special day spent in the Park too.
For a sweet, elegant break in the day, book a table at the Grand Floridian's Garden View Tea Room. This lovely spot offers a delicious afternoon tea with either a la carte or pre fix menus. But if she doesn't want to leave the Magic Kingdom, you could just stop by the Main Street Confectionary and pick up one of these special cookies made just for her. At another Park? No problem! Find a lovely spot to sit the special gal down for a break, go grab her a treat and bring it back. Maybe a nosh from Epcot's new Le Halles Bakery or Kringla Bakeri og Kafe. My kids (and husband) know that a Grey Goose Citron Slush would be tops on my list. With a little thought and TLC even a park bench can hold a magical memory.
You say the Queen of your castle is a little more demanding than that? No worries! A shopping spree in her favorite Disney Store is a great way to show her how much you love her. Perfume, jewelry, and designer bags can be a fantastic souvenir for even the pickiest Moms and you can find them all at Walt Disney World. Or for a delightful surprise, Disney Floral and Gifts can deliver a special treat right to your hotel room. From a simple floral arrangement to a complete in-room celebration, Disney's Enchanted Florist can help you make it a Mother's Day she'll never forget.
It's not difficult to make a little extra magic for the Mom in your life, even in the middle of a family vacation. How would you spend Mother's Day at Disney World? Leave a comment and share your best ideas!
