Splash Mountain To Be Rethemed With New Adventure For Princess Tiana

Disney's Princesses Tiana is a strong, courageous, and empowered force that embodies American dreams of prosperity and equality. None the less her presence in Disney Parks over the past decade has been somewhat fleeting at best. This week Disney released exciting news that new adventures with Princess Tiana will be coming to Magic Kingdom Park.

Imagineers have been working diligently over the past year to reimagine Splash Mountain for current times. According to Disney the story will pick up "after the final kiss" where guests will "join Princess Tiana and Louis on a musical adventure" as they prepare for Mardi Gras.

The new concept is inclusive - one that all of our guests can connect with and be inspired by, and it speaks to the diversity of the millions of people who visit our parks each year.

Splash Mountain Rises 87ft Above the Landscape



A timeline has yet to be set for the transformation of Splash Mountain into the new attraction but Imagineers are harnessing their passion to include innovative scenes and storytelling. Original talent fromThe Princess and the Frog movie has expressed excitement in this next step forward in Disney Parks and applaud the continued celebration of this fabulous Princess in a more concrete way.
