The Walt Disney World Railroad journeys along a 1.5-mile mile track encircling the entire Magic Kingdom Park and is the only ride that doesn't force guests to disembark at a specific stop or after making a full circuit. On a typical day there will be two trains running, which leave about 10 minutes apart. The first train out sets the pace pulling into the Main Street Station at the top of the hour, 20 minutes, and 40 minutes past. However - during the most crowded times of year a third may be added to relieve congestion.

The railroad runs daily, boarding its first passengers on Main Street U.S.A at 9:00 AM, year-round. One lap around the theme park will takes about 20 minutes, with the opportunity to disembark at Frontierland, and Fantasyland Stations as well. It's a lovely scenic ride, and a great way to get from the front to the back of the park, or vice-a-versa. However if you're tired, the baby has fallen asleep, or you're just plain not ready to get off, you can enjoy the trip for as long as you'd like, or the attraction remains open. For safety reasons, the railroad is closed during the evening fireworks show due to the tracks' close proximity to the fireworks staging area.

I had never been on the train until our last 2 trips. Now it is a must. It's a nice relaxing way to get off of your feet and see things you normally wouldn't see. And I like waving at everyone!

I would love to take a ride on the railroad, but every time I visit WDW, it's closed for repairs! Bummer.

I would love to ride the DW Railroad. It's always closed when I arrive in WDW every October!
