Three Rare Disney Characters and Where to Find Them

Brer Rabbit
Even though we go to the parks as grown-ups without kids, that doesn't mean we are immune to the charms of the characters. Sometimes, even if we aren't hunting autographs, it's fun to see some of the more elusive characters out and about. Of course -- parades don't count! ;-)

Here are some of our favorites that we spy from time to time...

Brer Rabbit
Brer Rabbit, of Song of the South and Splash Mountain fame, is hiding out more often than not! However, we have seen him from time to time at Disney's Animal Kingdom in the Oasis or even in front of the entrance gates. That means that you may be able to catch a photo with him without even paying for a ticket!

The Beast
Beauty and the Beast's strong and handsome prince -- in Beast form of course -- is rarely seen around the parks. But he will come out occasionally in Epcot's France when Belle greets her adoring fans. To keep everything as accurate as possible, Belle is dressed in her blue and white outfit -- the one she wore during the part of the film when Beast was a Beast. You might find her in her yellow dress at Ariel's Grotto in Disney California Adventure or at Akershus in Epcot's Norway.

Friar Tuck
This kindly old fellow from Robin Hood can be found from time to time in Disney's Hollywood Studios, but we've seen him most often greeting fans with Robin Hood at the entrance to Magic Kingdom's Main Street.

Ive seen both except for Tuck. The Monsters Inc. crew is up there as well.

I've never seen Friar Tuck -- I do remember seeing Beast with Belle in Epcot last time we were there.

I have met Friar Tuck! My husband and I got confused on our first trip there when we were in Toon Town, we ended up back near this area where all these characters came out near a fence area.... We met Friar Tuck, Mr Penguin, Meeko, and several others! It was so neat, there were no lines or anything - they were on their way out into the park! Haven't ever met Beast, but have seen him at MVMCP... Hope to see Brer Rabbit someday soon!!

I would love to see Friar Tuck!! I have seen Brer Bear and Brer Fox before in Disneyland but not Brer Rabbit, that would be pretty cool. I have also seen Beast and Belle in Disneyland as well but that was many years ago.

I really look forward to seeing some of the character in WDW that you never seen in Disneyland, I'm a sucker for character meet and greets. :0)

I've met Beast in Epcot, that was in 2008 and I got my picture taken with Friar Tuck in Disneyland Paris a few years ago! Brer Rabbit tho....WOW! Would love to meet him!

I was a cast member back in 2005. Around Halloween Darkwing Duck would appear in Liberty Square near The Haunted Mansion. I do not know if he still appears or not.

I have met two out of three
Brer Rabbit we met at long lost friends week in July aparently he has been retired for some time, but they see he is out rarely easier to find him around easter when all the rabbits are out.

I've never met the Beast, but heard he was in epcot never saw him and heard he makes some appearences at new Be Our Guest Restaurant in disneyland he can sometimes be found with Belle in the park also somtimes makes appearances at Goofy's kitchen.

Frier Tuck was also at long lost friends week, however I also found out he is out on Badger Day for a special meet and greet,

FYI Many characters come out to celebrate the release of there movie not all but many characters can be found then.
