Walt Disney World News Round-up For Friday July 6th, 2019

Happy Friday! We've made it through another week and I hope that yours was filled with 4th of July fun. I'll kick off the news round-up with an interesting tidbit, to the best of my knowledge there were no park closures down at Walt Disney World which is unusual. Looks like the creative pricing Disney is currently using has actually made an impact on one of the busiest days of the year. Now let's get on with the news!


July 4th Magic Kingdom Fireworks


Disney announced a wide range of closures, and temporary relocations across Future World at the Epcot Theme Park coming in Fall and Winter of 2019. It's all part of the reimagining of Epcot that will bring a fresh new feeling to this part of the park. Detailed dates for these closures can be found at WaltDisneyWorld.com.

• Festival Center - closed, becoming Play Pavilion
• Universe of Energy - closed, becoming Guardians of the Galaxy
• Epcot's Electric Umbrella - closing this winter
• Camera Center - closing in late fall
• Innoventions East, Colortopia and Nanooze Break - closing early fall
• Fountain of Nations - closing early fall
• Character Spot - temporary closure this fall
• Club Cool - closing and will reopen in a new capacity at a future merchandise location.
• Fountain View Starbucks - relocating to temporary location this fall
• Leave A Legacy - relocating, outside the Epcot Main Gate
• Pin Central Future World - relocating to temporary location this fall, then taking over the camera center retail space
• Mouse Gear - relocating to temporary location this winter

March of the First Order Ends at Disney's Hollywood Studios July 6th, because Disney's Hollywood Studios is starting to get ready to welcome Star Wars:Galaxy's Edge on August 29th, 2019! This week we found out the Menu for Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. It has a change from the Disneyland menu with a popular vegetarian dish missing.

If you want to add a little extra umph to your Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Experience in Walt Disney World be sure to book a VIP Tour Guide to show you the sites of Batuu. This VERY special trip and tour is available on Ebay as part of an auction for The V Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to saving lives by helping to find a cure for cancer.
