I'm so excited for our upcoming Disneyworld vacation, I can't focus on anything else! I decided to write my first pre-trip report. It will probably be wordy, because I talk a LOT, just ask my husband. So, as Peter Pan says, "come on everybody, Here we GO."
My husband and I have annual passes and we go to Disneyworld often. As often as I can possibly fit it into our schedule, which is about every 4 weeks Oct-May. But this vacation is special because it is the longest amount of consecutive days we will have ever spent in Disneyworld. When we go every few weeks it's only for a weekend. It usually amounts to all day Saturday and Sunday we leave by 5pm because home is almost 3hours from Orlando and hubby has to get up at 5am for work on Mondays. So we take many little vacations instead of one or two long ones.
We've never been able to have our work schedules line up just right for a longer vacation. Until this week!!! We are going to spend 4nights and 5days in Disneyworld We will be in WDW from Nov. 27-Dec.1. We are going to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary, which isn't until Dec. 17, but we won't be back in WDW until after our actual anniversary.
We are leaving Wednesday afternoon after my husband gets home from work. Hopefully he'll be home early in the afternoon because I'm so excited I can't WAIT to start our vacation. I know I'm going to be by the front door, sitting on our suitcases until he walks through that door, so that we can leave the second he gets home:wink:
We don't usually like to make many plans ahead of time, but for this trip I did make a tentative plan. It remains to be seen if we stick to it, but this is the plan so far:
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Check in at our hotel. This trip we're staying at Omni Orlando resort at Championsgate. This is one of our favorite hotels to stay at in Orlando. After we check in and change we are going to head to MK, it's open until 1am all week! We're going to grab a quick service dinner here. Probably a yummy waffle sandwich from Sleepy hollow. The rest of the night we're going to stay and enjoy MK.
THURSDAY: Since it is Thanksgiving Day, the only thing we know we will definitely do is avoid MK today, because it will probably be the most crowded. We are going to start the day at AK. We will do all of our favorites(EE, safari and Nemo) immediately and then meander around for awhile. We have a dinner ADR(our first ever ADR ) at Coral Reef in Epcot, so we will head to Epcot in the afternoon and spend the evening there.
FRIDAY: MK in the morning. Since it's Black Friday we're hoping that MK won't be as crowded today. We have a dinner ADR(my second one ever, this is getting a little crazy now ) at the 50's cafe in HS so we'll head there in the afternoon and stay at HS all evening. I'm really looking forward to Osborne Lights and Fantasmic! with the new Glow with the Show ears. If I can talk hubby into it, I'd like to go to a Disney's Character Outlet at one of the premium outlet malls for Black Friday deals on Disney Merchandise. However, since hubby would rather gargle with paint thinner than go shopping, on a normal day, I can't imagine he'll be on board for a little Black Friday shopping. It's a maybe at this point.
SATURDAY: Epcot morning. We will spend the morning and afternoon at Epcot. Most of it will be spent in WS because we don't really care much for future world. We have a food list for Epcot this trip. At Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie we want a Baguette sandwich, at Sommerfest we want a Frankfurter and a yummy German Pretzel. At Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe, we want everything We plan to get several items from around the world and share them all.
Saturday night, it's more MK magic.
SUNDAY: this is a complete toss up day. We will decide Sat. night or Sun. morning where we're going. It's usually HS because if we go to MK on the last day of any trip, because it's my favorite park, and I hate leaving it the most, Hubby practically has to DRAG me down Main Street U.S.A., kicking and screaming, "I don't know this man, he's trying to take me away from the Magic Kingdom, someone help me." Since he is 6'5, 275 pounds, people tend to stare O.K., so I'm not that bad, but it's close.
Then it's home to Ft. Myers,to start planning our January trip.
