1st Trip without the Kids!

Hey there! I've been visiting this website for a while and love it! My hubby and I are going to Disney without our kiddos in a few weeks for the first time. We are planning on trying quite a few restaurants that we haven't tried in the past! I have one big question... I waited too long to book the tomorrowland terrace dessert party and can't get in. Do you think there's ANY way I can make this happen? My hubby would be soooo excited!

I have no idea but just wanted to say welcome to the best Disney board around. I'm sure there is someone around here who has had experience with it that can be more helpful. We go to Disney every year with our kids but will be going on our first kidfree trip in January 2014 for our anniversary and can't wait

Welcome! My only suggestion for the dessert party is to keep checking to see if anything opens up due to cancelations.

Hello Becky!! Welcome to the WDWFG Forums! So nice of you to join us!

The only advice that I have for getting into the dessert party is to just keep calling and checking. There are sure to be some cancellations, the question is if you can call at the right tome to snag one. Not much magic I can offer excpet to say that you should be frequent in your phone calls and just keep trying!

Hi Becky and Welcome! We're so glad to have you here! I'd echo what others are saying...but if it doesn't work out, I just know that you'll have a great time anyway!

What other restaurants will you try on this trip? That sounds so fantastic!

Thanks everyone! We are going to be there June 1-8. We are staying at Pop Century. Excited and nervous because we are trying new places (I'm sure they'll be good)! We are going to Boma, Tusker House (char brkfst), yak & yeti, liberty tree tavern, and via Napoli. Then returning to some of our favs: crystal palace, San angel inn, Sci-fi diner. After Disney we are going over to sea world and discovery cove from June 8-10. We've never been to discovery cove, but since it's just the two of us this time we are able to do a bit more! Our girls are 20 and 22 and have been many times. We're thrilled to be going alone for the first time but still feel guilty for not having them with us! I'm sure we'll get over it. Smile Only 26 days til we leave...maybe I should start packing. mickey

Awesome choices, you shouldn't be disappointed! If you like tart frozen drinks, give the Italian Margarita a try at Via Napoli, it's one of my favorites. Also, the cream cheese won ton dessert at Yak & Yeti is to die for!

I loved the cream cheese and pineapple wonton at Yak & Yeti. I haven't tried the Italian Margarita at Via Napoli(will have to this year). The Peach Bellini is really good.

You should love Discovery Cove. It's the only place outside Disney where I've found Disney levels of service.

Agreed! I haven't been but I've heard all about it and it sounds so amazing! ...and it's an all-inclusive day of swimming with dolphins, food, and drinks!
