Welcome to 2017 Hurricane Season in Florida!
This year Atlantic hurricane season is predicted to have a 45 percent chance of an above-average activity due to a "weak or non-existent El Nino, near- or above-average sea-surface temperatures across the tropical Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea, and average or weaker-than-average vertical wind shear in that same region."
If you are traveling during hurricane season (June 1 through November 30) be sure to take a few minutes before your vacation to understand how weather can effect your plans, and what your opportunities are should you need to cancel or postpone.
